I think in most cases this is true, but in 2005 I tried everything from the moment they went on sale, through to trying to win them on the Chris Moyles show on the Friday morning the festival was starting. Around that time, pre-registration, the demand was such that you could do everything and just be unlucky.

It's improved since registration as less tickets are taken out of the game by touts, but theres always a chance that a combination of a few years of decent weather, some decent line up rumours, and more and more people getting used to the registration system, will take you back to the old struggle.

Believe me, whilst trying your hardest will work for most people most of the time, there might always be the odd exception, and if it's you, no statement in the world will make you madder than....

surely if you want tickets enough you'll get them.

I did watch it on telly when I missed it in 05 and remember watching Keane, and singing along with "Somewhere only we know" absolutely sobbing my heart out! The lyrics felt very apt and the line "Tell me when you're gonna let me in" seemed to take on a ridiculous level of significance!

I went into work to try for tickets in 2007, with my now hubby trying at the same time on our home computer. I had the radio on and when we got the tickets, I danced up and down our office like a maniac to Maximo Park's "My velocity!

To this day those are the tunes of ticket success and failure!

Not only do I have to deal with being 10,000km away, internet connection speed here is a bitch on a good day.

The only thing I can hope for is that everyone magically oversleeps this Sunday morning to buy me enough time to get my tickets - as long as I'm not taking an afternoon snooze of my own at 4pm here.

Oops...just remembered, I lost my wallet at the weekend. I dont think I will even have a replacement debit card by Sunday anyway. Heyho. Might regret not getting a ticket but it might be good practice...watch this space...ok so in about however many months time it is when I am ripping out my hair and crying my eyes out because I am not going because I was so blasee about not sorting out tix at the time, I MIGHT regret this attitude but meh...hmm...oh honestly...get a grip.

My worry is I'm off into London for the day at about 11am (going to see Arsenal away at Chelsea and its my dads birthday so meeting him for lunch early doors)....so need to have everything well sorted by then.

Super paranoid I won't have tickets secured by the time I leave. :(

There is a march against cuts in public services in Birmingham Victoria Square at 12 midday. So i am not only hoping for a ticket, i am hoping to get ours in time for us to get out for the march!

The hubby has just installed firefox and i'm hoping this will help. It is scary though, I think anyone who has missed out once will never take it for granted again.

First post since '09, looking forward to tomorrow, a BIT worried that I may sleep in.

I thought I had missed the registration but luckily my last one looks good to go! Going to wake up early tomorrow, have my toast and have the ticket site as my homepage!

If I don't get tickets for next year I'll just fly to Ibiza instead... Good luck to all the real fest peeps!

I'm a very infrequent poster here - but I must just say I am beginning to feel the fear :O

last year I missed out on the tickets - it would have been my 13th Glasto.

can't help worrying that it will be same again :(
