Haven't been here much glad to see we have a bevvie of paople still trying to get fitter for Glasto, I am stuck! Haven't lost (or gained which is a positive) any weight now for 4 weeks...Can your body get used to what you eat or something? I have joined a gym so swimming and doing a couple of classes and some step/treadmill each week is it really true muscle weighs more than fat or is that just an old wives tale? Someone tell me something positive please? 6 Stone 2.5lb lost another 13.5lb to go...

Muscle is more dense than fat so yeah it technically is heavier. Also your body does get used to things like exercise and diet and in turn slows the process of losing weight down (same applies to gaining muscle as well). You have to keep mixing things up every now and then to keep the body guessing and it working at it's highest level. Things like if you are constantly doing the same type of exercise, same length of time and other aspects then your best bet is to change what you do for a little while and then just keep changing every so often.

Awesome work DVJJ.... amazing weight loss.

I'm stuck at 18lb loss and exactly the same weight that I got stuck at last summer before I broke my foot and piled on some lb's again........ seems my body likes it here - and need something to get it moving again

Am training for the Moonwalk so the walking miles are all increasing, maybe that may budge a bit

A stone more for G and I'd be one happy fairy

21 lb is an awesome amount! I had lost 14lb- but unfortunatley it was my birthday so had two weeks with not weighing in plus an almighty blowout and party -means 3lb back on :(.

Another stone by Glasto and I will be over the moon, looking at this lovely weather I think its time to drag out ye olde pushbike..

So after some weeks of distraughtness where I lost 4.5lb then STS then STS then gained .5lb two weeks running,I finally kicked off that gained 1lb and lost another on top, I have 48 days (nearly 47)to make it 100lb loss.

Here it is from the beginning,

  • Starting Weight - 19 Stone 3lb (269lb or 122.3 Kilo)

  • Current Weight - 12 Stone 7lb (175lb or 79.55 Kilo)

So I have to lose -

  • 6lb to make a total loss of 100lb

  • 4lb to make a total loss of 7 Stone

I'd love to make the 100lb but 7 stone will be a massive achievement...

How's everyone else getting on?

wow thats impressive, done entirely through cardio and diet I assume?

I've changed my cardio to HIIT (high intensity interval training), steady pace cardio takes too long, so boring

I have my own annual 'get fit' routine for glastonbury. I don't need to lose weight (6'3" and 10 1/2 stone) but think it is vital to get the fitness levels up to have the stamina.

Last week my total walking distance (dedicated walks only) was just over 28m, my knee gave on monday, so I have taken a break for a few days, but will be back out later today to put 5-10m down and have next week off work so am aiming to make it 10 per day all week if possible.

I feel like a bear sometimes, no activity in the winter months then out as soon as the sun starts shining. Feeling pretty bright and positive now the hibernation is over!

Well done to everyone who has been dedicated and determined, good luck in your efforts.

Might try and get on this. 6 weeks or so left and not working with thousands of bottles of wine any longer. Back to the miso soup for lunch every day and maccha for brekkie if I can commit.
