Having been lucky enough to see nearly all of my favorite bands in the world, bar Earth, wind and Fire and the Chemical Brothers live, what are the chances of either of them being at Glastonbury 2011. I have just seen Chems set from the Roundhouse in May on you tube, which my wife had booked a family hoilday to eygpt around!!!!!, and they looked fantastic. My life would be complete seeing them at Glasto.Any chance? <_<

I was at the Roundhouse on the Sunday, my god was it good. Hopefully they'll be able to bring their massive screen along as it looked awesome with the visuals.

Though I was disappointed they didn't play a lot of what I wanted to hear, it was still awesome. Here's hoping they'll play, as the Roundhouse shows were meant for the album showcasing, so next time should see more of the older collection.

I was gutted to miss them at The Roundhouse, but I could not see them and Faithless so I had to make a choice, which I did in the knowledge that The Chems were "definitely" going to be at Glastonbury in any case, d'oh.

Not that I can really regret my choice as Faithless nearly knocked me off my feet, (hippy tripping assisted) ;)

They are def doing some touring next year as my dad has reliably informed me the boys are playing at the Sydney Entertainment Centre the night he arrives in the city next March. Fingers crossed they return from playing elsewhere to Pilton by late June.

Tbh though, it will be very surprising if they don't do a second stage headline next summer.

I'm thinking all 3 dance acts on the Other Stage to go against the probable 3 Guitar based bands on the Pyramid (U2/Rolling Stones or Coldplay/Foo Fighters/Pulp)?

Wasn't it 2004 when they put Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx and Orbital on the Other Stage against Oasis, Macca and Muse?

Underworld would be far too big to headline Dance East.

    • You can judge who you want to get a high slot next with the Lolla headliner performances from the weekend. Cause people think Tate Mcrae is the best thing out there for some reason. And some other cool acts, plus you can laugh at how bad the camera work is cause disney is cheap.
    • Fontaines getting the honour of the last ever BBC Maida Vale session going out on 6 Music shortly.   No Glastonbury relevance (for now.. ), just thought I'd mention it for those who are interested 😎
    • Had a wonderful booking in one of our primary woodland venues this weekend. A 30th birthday arranged by a load of musicians and entertainment industry professionals. It was primarily a folk oriented event, however I noticed one young woman who didn’t seem to fit dress and appearance wise. Turned out to be Frenetic, one of the top up and coming UK Jungle and DnB DJ’s.    Anyway Saturday night turned into an EDM session and I got to do a set. Slightly nervous considering who was there, it was great and Frenetic loved my set. She’s closing Data Mine at Shambala this year.
    • they got lucky and the thunderstorms stayed away. It was still wet of course. Some of those boot sucking puddles did emerge from what a couple friends saw who were there.  Post fest aerial also below   and also a sapphic mud wrestling contest?
