but we all really know it's really Prince on sunday

I'm very very unconvinced by the Prince guesses that people are making (this is aside from anything to do with what I think I might know).

Aside from anything else, I don't believe that Eavis would bother trying for him nowadays, having tried for him many times in the past and always been knocked back. Eavis had given up trying to get U2 on the same basis, that he'd become convinced it was never going to happen.

It's possible I guess that they tried again at the beginning of the year when they found themselves with a headline slot still to fill, but I'm far from convinced it's something that'll ever happen.

So U2 then are pretty certain? theres still a Glasto sized hole in their tour dates.

Michael's stated publicly that he's asked them, and as you say there's an obvious gap in their dates.

So while I know nothing more than that, I'd say they're nailed on. The only thing I can see that might possibly throw it is if The Edge thought Glasto was shit when he played with Muse.

Do you not think there's any chance of Prince approaching them, having got the 'outstnding payments' issue sorted out? He's in dire need of a credibility boost (I got better value from the 27 seconds of reading in the Daily Mirror than I did from the Prince album free with it) and Glastonbury's a great way to get it

anything is possible, but it seems to me that Prince is man who would prefer top dollar to any credibility boost (which he defo needs).
