Well, I wish so anyway.

After reading another topic about Sponsors at Festivals, who would you want to provide the alcohol in the main bars and why?

I think Stella would be ideal because you could almost guarantee they wouldn't allow their fine product to be sold substandard like perhaps, other manufacturers do. You would actually get drunk from it too...

There could be a Newcastle Brown Ale stand also....only to be sold to people who live north of Leeds for fear of scenes of uncontrollable chaos from some of our Cider drinking comrades further south who perhaps may not be used to the fury that Mad Dog can cause ;)

It would be a real shame to sully the quality of the beer available at Glastonbury with that horrible muck.

For me, personally I'd hardly change the mix at all. I'd like it if there were more Cider bars, and more variety at that; there's clearly demand for it - The Brothers Bar and Cider Bus are chocka all festival long.

If you think there's not enough lager I'd much rather see a good quality variety - something German or Czech, and preferably German, nothing from any company that considers itself a manufacturer .

I don't think we need to cater any further for the real ale bores, you know the sort, boring, beardy, sandal-wearing obsessives (people like me!) cos we're very well catered for!

The quality of the lager at Glasto is already sh*te! Tuborg? FFS! Come on, really? Real ale has its place for sure, but at a festival in the middle of summer? Lager needs to be:

1. Ice cold (thats why I never see the point in bringing any

2. Strongish (thats why Carlsberg, Fosters, Carling should be banned)

3. Not likely to cause a mass of public order offences (Stella)

If the tooth (or beer) fairy answered my prayers, the beers would be these:

1. HB (German)

2. Budvar

3. Becks (not it's p&ss weak, basta^d child Veir)

More cider would deffo be a good thing, something that didn't ruin you at 2 in the afternoon would be a better one. I put myself on a Brothers ban til after dark last year, and finally made it though Sunday, and saw more bands this year that I can count on one hand

The pimms bus was in the first field you come to once through PGC, forget the name of it. Although I'm not a big fan of sponsorship and commercialism I can honestly say that jug of pimms was the most refreshing drink I had all week! :)
