True but I was referring to more recent times. Ask the Juve fans, they may have a different opinion. I’ve never seen a couple of thousand fans come to Old Trafford, stand with their backs turned giving to finger to the club and its supporters in total and utter disgust. That happened in Anfield a couple of years ago. I’ve never seen that in any other ground before anywhere in the world.

ahhh ... much the equivalent of people doing the plane thing at Old Tesco. It's a completely different basis for hate. ;)

I don’t think Ferguson cares either way. He preaches a “them versus us” message in the dressing room. Seems to work. It’s the only way I can explain the below statistics.

John O’Shea

Premier League Winners Medals – 4

Steven Gerrard

Premier League Winners Medals - 0

You stick to those statistics, and keep on pretending that Utd are as dominant as Liverpool were when they're not, and that Utd are less hated than Liverpool have ever been, when they're not.

Piffle. In the early/mid 80s Liverpool were as much hated by football supporters as Man Utd are now.

The only difference is that now there are a lot more people who would describe themselves as football supporters due to the excessive amount of football now widely available through the media.
