Bad news for Liverpool. Only 5th going to get Europa spot now, as Birmingham won League cup and another will go to Bolton/Stoke as finalists.

Liverpool either got to turn Braga over and win it outright this season or catch up to 5th.

*edit: unless Reading go all the way and win it themselves. Still doesn't change Liverpool's situation.

I'm not bothered about Europe personally, I'd just like to see us get our just rewards, as well as finish above Newcastle as an all expenses paid trip to Portugal rides on it.

Firmly against the decision to hold Semi's at Wembley. It's an impressive stadium (went to the first England friendly there against Brazil), and understand they need to do it as need any help they can get in paying it off, but should be purely for Internationals, Cup finals, Play-off finals imo.

well aye, the only way we'd get to europe is to play either celtic or rangers in the scottish cup final. and our coefficient would have us start at rock bottom. we played vaduz last time in liechtenstein.

Well United were there for the taking on Saturday but we just weren't good enough to do it. Very disappointing. We played some decent football at times, but it means nothing if we don't score. The cinical nature of the United side is what sets them appart. Even though they've been poor by their own standards this year, they've got players that hold their nerve when needed, and that's something that Arsenal just doesn't have. As I said before the weekend, I really fear for what the result will do for the morale of the team. The game against West Brom now has taken on so much added pressure. IMO this is the biggest test of Wengers managerial ability that he's ever faced. The vultures in the media are all circling the club deperately hoping we fall apart, and if we do, I can see calls building for Wenger to go. You won't hear me calling for that, he's done everything for this club. Without him there'd be no new stadium, training ground or youth system. Sadly the bigger picture isn't something that we're supposed to look at these days, it's all instant success or nothing. Worrying times indeed.

Gutted for Djourou too. He's been having a really good season, and now we left with Squilachi playing every game

Gooners should’ve been ahead after a half hour or so. Its all very direct and narrow though. The couple of times a ball was whipped into the box caused issues for Utd. Other than that, Vidic and Smalling (who gets better every week) did a great job of tackling and blocking shots. Arsenal were just too predictable mostly.

And Van Der Man played fantastic again. The “One More Year” chant from the fans said it all. No chance though.
