Im not sure not playing will make much difference for a keeper. Kenny had his drugs ban and is now on his way back to the premiership. Fitness isnt as important for a keeper. Part of me thinks it may be worth risking him in the first game, he has self belief and will also bollock the defence when needed.

Know what you're saying, but it's a big call. What happens if Lehmann's no longer at the requisite level? then you're pretty much f**ked.

Almunia's already been demoted to 3rd choice, if he's then further demoted behind the old veteran coming out of retirement then any remaining confidence he has would likely be shot.

Nani looking for a move away.

Bad news if thats the case, hes been the difference a couple of times this season. Himself and Valencia on the wings will cause any team majot problems.

talking of Nani .... is that the world's quickest recovery, or what?

I'm guessing that Fergie's 'disgusting' comment and the claims of Nani being out till April was mostly about trying to deflect any criticism of his own side's 'disgusting' performance against Liverpool.:lol::lol:

It was a bit of a horror tackle in fairness. Also mind games from Fergie. He always says players wont be playing and then they do. Same with Valencia on Saturday. He was good when he came on too.

It was a bad tackle, it wasn't a dirty tackle as such - these things happen. I felt that the fuss made over it at the time was OTT, and I reckon Nani's oscar-winning performance was more about him having realised it was nearly half time and that he'd get a worse kicking from fergie for giving the 2nd goal away. ;)

And in fairness, he did say straight up that Utd were shit against Liverpool.

'straight up' - but about a week later, yeah. ;)

possibly yeah, I cant see him going tho... what club would want him, that he would want to go to?

If fergie says he's going, he's going. :P

As for which club, I'm guessing Rooney won't have any more problem moving across into the city than he would have had in the autumn.

Yeah it happens, Scholes weighed in with a couple of proper hacks against Arsenal too. Looked like he was doing his best to get sent off. He was only just on!

yeah, I saw those - just about any other player would have been off I reckon. It annoys me how 'star' players get more leeway than others do.

Doubt he'll stay at United all his career but personally I'd guess this is gestifute/nani looking to renegotiate contract. Nani renewed last season (4 year contract) for around £65k a week when he wasn't half as vital as he is now. He's since seen Rooney get his bumper deal, Vidic and Evra get significant deals. Fletcher, Carrick and Anderson all renewed on presumably higher wages than they were on. Supposedly we're already renewing Hernandez contract and bumping his wage from 30k to around 50k.

Nani's a strong contender for POTY in the prem really when consider 9 goals and 15 assists just in his prem games. He's made the difference way more than a couple of occasions this season.

Yep the whole thing reeks of angling for a payrise, especially as they're saying Italy would be his chosen destination. Why would any top player (especially if they're black) be looking to go to Italy now?

according to today's bbc gossip (from the tabs) it's something he's been telling 'friends' after Utd have knocked back a recent request for a new and better contract.

So it does appear to be exactly what you've presumed.

    • Had a wonderful booking in one of our primary woodland venues this weekend. A 30th birthday arranged by a load of musicians and entertainment industry professionals. It was primarily a folk oriented event, however I noticed one young woman who didn’t seem to fit dress and appearance wise. Turned out to be Frenetic, one of the top up and coming UK Jungle and DnB DJ’s.    Anyway Saturday night turned into an EDM session and I got to do a set. Slightly nervous considering who was there, it was great and Frenetic loved my set. She’s closing Data Mine at Shambala this year.
    • they got lucky and the thunderstorms stayed away. It was still wet of course. Some of those boot sucking puddles did emerge from what a couple friends saw who were there.  Post fest aerial also below   and also a sapphic mud wrestling contest?
    • It's even less funny when in real life too...   Liddle met Rachel Royce and the couple soon became romantically involved.[84] In January 2004 the couple married at a ceremony in Malaysia. They had been living in Heytesbury, Wiltshire, and had two sons together. Six months later, Liddle moved in with Alicia Monckton, a 22-year-old receptionist at The Spectator. It transpired that he had cut short his honeymoon with Royce so that he could be with Monckton. Following their divorce, Liddle and Royce exchanged attacks in the media. Liddle called her a "total slut and slattern"
