No. I'm saying that if manager's skill and not resources count for everything - which some like to claim as the case at Utd - and Kenny is all that he was, then 6th is a certainty, and 4th a decent possibility.

It's indicative of the resources equalling the achievement. How is that passing you by?

It's not about me, it's about you. You mentioned Bent going due to Gyan, I didn't.

I don't think I said anything of the sort, tho might have vaguely suggested that Bent might go soonish.

What I said was something like "Gyan is the replacement for Bent", but that wasn't saying that Bent was going, that was saying that Bent is now the 2nd striker at the club (with Gyan having come in as top striker, and Jones having gone).

You, as ever, told me I was wrong.

You mentioned Sunderland failing to reach 6th, I didn't.

"finish 6th", a different thing entirely.

Incidentally, I see you've changed your mind about Villa. It's perfectly okay to do that you know, we don't all act like smug c**ts when someone changes their opinion nor should it matter.

I've not changed my mind about the strength of Villas squad in relation to S'land's.

Nor Evertons, not Liverpools, nor Newc. :)

As everyone keeps saying, this is a strange season - and Sunderland are being one of the beneficiaries of that, with a league position that gives a false impression of their squad strength (and other clubs affected in the opposite way).

If anyone wondered why WHU fans are against the move to the OS...

yep, it looks rubbish for footie.

But I've got to say, when considering the very different Spurs bid for the 'stadium' (rip it down, build a footie stadium, upgrade Crystal Palace athletics track), that your guys have been numpties - it looks like they could get away with doing something far better for footie, but have stuck to the govts guidelines instead.

Palace looking at relocating to the athletics track down the road.

Interesting, as if I remember right, Kemsley owns Selhurst Park...

...who is big pals with and used to be in business with Alan Sugar, Daniel Levy, and a certain Mr Lewis...

I thought Selhurst was owned by Ron Noades? Or is that old hat?

It's a dreadful ground anyhow, with that Sainburys in the corner.

Ah it seems the company Kemsley used to buy the freehold at Selhurst Park from Ron Noades went bust a few years ago. And when the consortium bought Palace last summer they also bought the freehold.

So perhaps this is bad news for Tottenham not good news...

I guess it'll be bad news for Spurs if CP think they can rip-up the athletics track there because there's one in East London. I can't see it impacting on their plans otherwise.

There's going to be riots on the streets of North London if spurs move. I would say; I can't see the fans letting it happen, but I'm guessing they don't have much choice. It will be a real shame if spurs move out east though. London tonight made a very valid point during an article on it the other night, that the people who could really suffer from this are Orient. It will really saturate east London and the O's could be the first casualty

PMSL - the porn dwarf and dildo man said there'd be riots in East London if Spurs got the stadium and not them.

90%+ of the supporters of either team - plus enough newbies to make up the missing - will pay up for their ticket, like the muppets do at all the moany clubs. I can't see Spurs or WHU being any different.
