It's still not clear, the Inter president says in still in charge. Rafa was also claiming a week or 2 ago that the president needs to back in the transfer market or he'll walk.

according to something I read this morning he can't be sacked at this moment cos he's gone on holiday .... to Liverpool!:lol:

I'm going with the theory that Inter are trying to sack Rafa now as Sam Allardyce has become available especially after a few weeks ago he was talking about how he's more suited to either Inter or Madrid.

WHU will be net spenders in Jan. The opposite will be true of the Geordies and Notlob. Hughton went as he disagreed with Ashley on transfer policy in January .

Sidwell is a definite in, dependent on results of medical and any other clubs outbidding WHU. THFC want to sell Keane which means we're not interested (would only have been on loan). Cole, Upson, & Behrami are the 3 players Sullivan really wants rid of. Grant is going nowhere and doesn't get much of a say in transfer dealings.

Hes a prize twat chief, hes proved it over and over again. Im amazed that the same people who were saying "he has to go" and "get him out now" for the last year and a half ago are saying they'll take him back!! After he took 6 million from Liverpool when he was sacked!! Madness. Sacked from 2 jobs in 6 months. Rumoured 7 million from Inter when they let him go!!

The Rafa situation would be the equivalent of Malky Mackay getting us relegated from our current position this season, being given a new contract on more money, and then slagging off Graham Taylor for not doing what is best for Watford.

The only thing their owner has done wrong in the last six years is appoint Rafa Benitez.

In terms of Villa

Id not fussed whatsoever about Sidwell going, apparently he's on £48k a week!

Beye is meant to be going to Leicester which is great cus he's awful and is on £44k a week

Curtis Davis can go, he had promise be he never put his stamp on a game, another on high wages

Carew can go, lazy as f**k, yet another high wage

and Ireland, well he wants to leave, never wanted to play for us, the guy is a disgrace, he should have never have signed for us if he didn't want to play, he's never tried to impress, where was his runs he used to make at City? Hope we get about £6mil and obviously his wages off too

I want us to get plenty of players in though, obviously we aren't going to get a lot of transfer funds by selling the above lot, but its the wages that will be off the books that counts

Apparently Wheater is coming in for a small fee from Boro cus he's out of contract and McAllister has recommended him to Houllier.

Then we need to beef up the midfield [defensive and attacking] and attacking [strikers]options, I want young fresh blood to be honest rather than old faces, we have Pires, Petrov, NRC in midfield who have been there done that, btw REALLY hope NRC stays, we need more youngster from abroad and it looks like we might be getting that, go the Arsenal way of doing things, take risks with youth players, its better than paying huge fees and massive wages to players happy to sit there and take the cash and not put the effort in, like Carew.

Going back to Ireland though, I can't see who'd be interested in him, I certainly wouldn't be how he's played for Villa and if the fee was £8mil which is the apparent price, Everton have been linked but they have Cahill and Arteta and if they have £8mil to spend Id surely spend it on a striker first, so I can't see that happening.

January should be an interesting one.

10 days....

    • Hope they skip the fireworks and the burning of the man this year tbh, seemed dodgy last year with all the reports of embers and this year is drier. Don't want to be a killjoy but it's only a big bonfire at the end of the day.    May also need extra care with BBQ and gas stoves etc, always worries me slightly in the campervan field where vans are very very close together!    Not had campervan pass in the mail yet either.   Looking forward to the beer festival and enjoying a few pints while taking in some mellow tunes in the walled garden if the sun carries on shining like this 😎
    • Haha yeah maybe not the best comparison as Gavin seems a good lad. It was to express how he's usually spot-on with his information
    • Ah then yeah one of them has gotta be a very strong chance.
    • I think there could, repeat COULD, be some truth to this Madonna stuff, re BST and no Glastonbury.   Think it's demands around stage/production stuff.
    • Yes sorry for delay in replying! I'll message you when I put it on there. I think it goes live next week
