The beeb needs to understand what's important. Charlie brooker wrote a piece over the weekend about trailers for the bbc - and he was bang on the money. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2011/oct/09/charlie-brooker-bbc-cuts

the beeb is trying to be all things to all men (or women)

it doesn't need to advertise itself, it doesn't need expensive trailers for its own output, and the quality stuff that it does make sells by the shedload on dvd and syndication worldwide. even stupid things that might not be immediately evident - like only having one news anchor instead of 2 can save a fortune. I'm sure even a novice could go into the bbc and save a fortune without drastically affecting the output.

this made me so f'ing angry, and very upset to watch. how can a father do this to his child in the name of anything?

she downloaded some music and games off of kazaa from what I understand, and the father got a cease and decist letter from the RIAA. take the fucking PC off her ffs.

even more worrying are the various mouth breathers who say "she got what she deserved" on various comment boards etc.

R.I.P. Kim Jong-Il. A true hero. Quite a life!

He was born on Mount Paekdu, one of Korea's most cherished sites, in 1942, a birth heralded in the heavens by a pair of rainbows and a brilliant new star.

He invented the hamburger.

He shot a 38 under par in his first ever round of golf including 5 hole in ones.

He spend half a million a year on brandy, average North Korean wage is 1k. Surprisingly,

the Daily Fail has the best article I've read on him this morning.

Considering how much of a c**t he was, the pictures of the grieving Koreans is proof that shameless propaganda didn't die with Leni Riefenstahl's Triumph Of The Will.

no one cried in the UK for a worthless rich woman who lived off their taxes. This country is so much better than the rest of the world.:lol:

    • made a last minute decision to go to Belladrum festival.   it was absolutely wonderful.   never been before, to be honest I think I was expecting a stage in a field and a burger van, but its nothing at all like that.   the site is beautiful, its small enough to get around, but big enough that there are things to discover round each corner, there are a good number of small stages tucked away.   you could quite easily convince yourself you were in Glastonbury in places.   I may have only been one time, but already learned a valuable lesson - the site itself may be Glastonbury like, but the "general camping" campsite is very much Reading like! as the morning mist rises... its a view like the Do Lung Bridge scene in Apocalypse Now...   so if you are not 15 years old, go to family or quiet camping which is fantastic.   its a real family friendly festival to - loads of families and kids of all ages running round and stuff for them to do.   I would 100% recommend it, and I really can't see any reason why I wont be going back next year!   🙂
