I know I'm gonna get abuse for this but I went to see Stevie in 2008 at Birmingham.

He spent half the night talking about God, Faith, his wonderfull daughters bla bla bla - not really my cup of tea. I was well disappointed.

Wasn't going to see him before hand and that's settled it, just not my cup of tea. If Glasto could have got a bigger rock act, he would have been perfect for the susnet slot alas it is what it is :P

Orbital for me.

For those who love Stevie this is going to be a momentous occasion. For those under 25 (?) perhaps who have no history in listening to his music it could be a " so what", but, this man is a LEGEND. There is talk on these boards of great sets from Paul Mcartney and David Bowie, Steve Wonder is in that bracket of legendary status, of iconic status that those two are. I watched it today whilst off from work and i had a big big smile knowing that in a months time i will be party to an historic set set to be made of Glastonbury legend. Make no bones about it that this is going to be huge.

No hes not a rock act! Hes not the Rolling Stones hes not U2 hes not Radiohead or any other big rock act some might have wished for, he though is one of the most selling artists in the history of music and of his genre on of the most significant artists of the last 40 years. I think this year will be his fourth decade of playing music, which is a fitting tribute to end the 40th glasto. Ok so Glasto started with rock acts but we are 40 years on and times change. This is supposed to be a party and for those who cant wait its going to be a party to end a wonderful weekend!

I've typed enough about the Stevie Love -v- Stevie Hate on here so I'll just say that I've just watched the hour long iPlayer programme and it's got me feverishly excited about seeing him at Glasto. Great man, great songs and a great band.

I am currently watching this now, and whilst I wasn't keen on the harmonica opening, as soon as he starting singing and the band kicked in more it's all good! I think he will be a good end to the Sunday, a good boogie to end Glasto!

I was thinking exactly the same - but I think it'll be totally different with a skinfull of booze inside my dancing bones.

I think it will be great and with a skinful of booze inside me the dad dancing and singer will come to the fore, watch out!
