you are also going to reopen the debate on Soad being headliners or subheadliners. for me they would have to headline as they would easily get that position at festivals such as soni and download (why would they take r&l subheadliner if they know they could be top of the bill elsewhere)

Would be fairly solid I guess but personally I don't think it has any 'wow' factor

Linkin Park don't really have a huge amount of relevance these days, Jay-Z would be good but nothing inspirational

Muse just seem too much of a safe bet and headline festivals constantly

Also really hope Biffy don't become the new Bloc Party with repetitive booking

Foo Fighters would be pretty good, but again not very imaginative, and I doubt Interpol would be that high, they were 3rd a few years ago (07?) and i haven't really seen any evidence of them getting more popular

Personally I'd love to see all the bands but it'd just be such a characterless line-up

I love the first vampire weekend album, it was full of summery sing along hit but the last one never gre on me. As for muse, they are good live but i think they are overexposed on the festival circuit they will never beat playing in the rain and overshadowing the foo fighters in 2002 I think, one of the best festival performances i have seen.

Friday: My Chemical Romance/Kesabian/Bloc Party (if get new album out, but unlikly)/

Them Crooked Vultures (atualy think are likly, if the 2nd album is as succesful and the massive demand for them would allow them to headline, rember stokes headlined after just one album in 2002 and linkin park and franz after 2 in 2003 & 2006 respectivly

Saturday: Foo Fighters/greenday/Muse

Sunday: Pixes/Iron Maiden/Ratm

I can't see many smaller bands getting big in the next few years

Maybe Biffy, The cribs as they are working with Marr, Hate to say it but Florence is going to be massive last year she played 4th on the nme if she was playing this year she would be headlining the nme or playing like 3rd on mainstage with one album give her two more albums she will be massive Can't stand her though)

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
