Hey, always thought about camping up in the triangle after reading so much about it! Just one question.

I'm a naturist. Will my naturist ways be welcome at camp T!? :P

To new comers joining this thread, remember and read the first post.

All of the discussions and arrangements are going on in the MFG.

Don't worry about some of the friendly banter above, it's just a good way to keep this thread bumped.

The tiny red triangle on the map is just a rough indicator and there is no clique involved at all in this gathering of like minded Glasto fans.

All are welcome :P

Indeedydoodyday. Well said Lord T.

Its simply a bloody brilliant place to camp especially if you are a solo flyer/recently dumped by partner or mates. There is always at least one bodling to go off with to see a band and a lovely centre to the camp to stay and chill at.

Warning though:

it can also take up your entire weekend and you might not see much because you are having too much fun with new and old chums at CT :P

Just a wee bump.

I've quoted my first post here for those of you that use the 'Last Post' link form the Topic banner.

All are welcome.

Camp ▼ 2010

EVERYONE WELCOME!

Please note - This camp is not "officially" organised by efestivals, it's a collaborative effort by you guys :P

It's a simple plan really - we all camp in the same area, meet friends old & new, look out for each other and chat bollox at stupid times of day.

Pennards is right next door to the late night madness of the Park, Stone Circle & Greenfields, not too far from the Dance village (although the Glade is VERY close)

Trash City and Shangri-La are also within staggering distance.

It can be a bit of a trek to the Pryamid stage, but the Other stage is on your doorstep and you'll be walking so much over the weekend you won't really notice anyway.

Food wise, there is usually a decent sized sit down breakfast bar (bacon, eggs, etc...) less than a minutes walk from camp at the bottom of the field and the Park has also become a haven for good food in recent years - take your pick.

Toilets are plentiful and the closest ones to camp has been a hot topic at the triangle for years - some say bottom of Pennards, some say bottom of The Park.....who knows?

For those that have heard of Pennard’s reputation for flooding. Don't worry!

The camp site is on a hill and I know that everyone camped around the efest flag on Pennard over the years will testify that we have a near perfect spot.

Besides, major drainage improvements have been carried out over the last couple of years and we are WELL away from the worst affected NE corner, just look out for dips in the land.

Given Pennard Hill and the camp's popularity over the years, it's somewhat of a free-for-all, so arrive as early as possible to get your spot

This is the rough location, where the Red Triangle is shown below.

The orientation of that pic is different from the map

It was taken from the east, so left = S, right = N, Up = W & Down = E

We've set up a separate group called 2010

To join, click on the blue [My Festival Groups] at the top of the page.

Look down the list till you see our name, 2010,

Then click on the column on the right [Join this Group]

I'll send you a PM saying welcome, then you can join in to help with the plans and get a lot more detailed information.

This is a great place to camp for all - Solo - 1st timers - groups.

All are welcome :P

Please show your support for this website and buy yourself some efest goodies, that way you will be easier to spot if we see someone looking confused.

Hey, cool to see that Camp T people are cool with my naturism! I have heard about those Spencer Tunick events but can't make either sadly. Liking the sound of others joining in on Saturday! Oh and I'll make sure as mentioned to be careful around the fire! Just joined the Camp T group too, so look forward to chatting with you all there.

Ha ha, isn't Gordon Brown a funny one!

Thanks for putting my mind at ease! i'm a first timer and will also be on my own. My brother, whose camped here before but can't go to glasto this year, has told me to get my name down for - looking forward to meeting new people ( and a little nervous!)

I've asked to join the group so hope to get more info on there.

see you in June!

She is indeed my sister greenfairy.

I know she will be well looked after at CT :P

I just hope she finds it ok, as long as she takes down some peoples numbers beforehand, should be fine.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
