The Pyramid Stage is looking very much like public access TV's Saturday nights - family variety show, Strictly vs X Factor... There's a strong chance I'll see all three headliners but Faithless aside, I won't be there for anything else.

I know I know, I'll have a better time if I go somewhere different but it'd be nice of some of the bigger acts on the lineup were also the best.

I guess what you gotta think is how they are being released?

My guess is the Eavii's are saving the best till last...would you prefer them to blow cover on the biggest surprise and then end with the announcement of Shakira or Shakira first and then the big surprise that will be coming?

I for one am well happy with this announcement...glasto is meant to be diverse and this certainly is that...will give people lots of different options.

People need to get off their high horse, Shakira has as much right to be there as a lot of other people...if everyone could pick their artists there would be no hope so deal with it and go see summin else if your not happy.

Gil Scott-Heron was a blow, I'll give you that. I'd have loved to have seen him.

But if you can't find more than one act you're really looking forward to with such a line up, I suggest you haven't given enough acts a try beforehand. If you have and you STILL don't think there's anything else to enjoy, then I'd seriously suggest not bothering with Glasto and just turn up to the annual Muse snooze-a-thon at Wembley stadium.

Honestly - give some other bands a go. Use spotify. Open your ears. There are bloody loads to look forward to.

the best part of a month ago now, Emily told efestivals that bands would be announced every Tuesday from 6th April.

It seems they'd forgotten about Easter tho, so we got an announcement on the 7th instead, then the following Wednesday, and now we're on Tuesdays. So next announcement will be next Tuesday, I'm pretty sure.

That's the thing - I wouldn't watch Muse if you paid me and would rather syringe my ears using sandpaper and vinegar, because I think they're extremely bland, whiny and boring.

But they're a great booking for the festival.

And yes - I have seen them before - their headline set in 2004.

Initial disappointment will hopefully turn to real excitement if you give some new acts a try.

Worse.

I may not like them, but at least Muse have some talent. Kasabian sure as hell don't, unless fooling millions into thinking they're anything other than monkey vomit is talent. But that's not for here.
