This would be awful. Imagine them followed by Kanye West? Literally the worst.

I genuinely worry about the future of the human race when these tossers are selling music. Their "rebellious" street attitude is so shallow and fake its sickening. Two mindless chavs and a brainless slapper shouting over a CD.

Ball-less, souless, spiritless little corporate bitches, suckers of Satan's cock, each and every one of them.

Look at these f**king idiots.

Mmm.

Like most here, i'm not in favour of censorship as rule.

And i believe in freedom of expression, and artisic freedom.

And i know that Glastonbury is a broad church

And I know its a festival of performing arts,

BUT ...they are truly, truly crap. And oafish. And dull. And up themselves. And crap.

Really...who buys it...in any sense of the word.

But....let them play where they will....just don't go.... that idiot poser strutting around to a virtually empty tent would look interesting as Ferne Cotton pretends to like them on the beeb.

Although alot of people seem to be disapointed that N-Dubz are headlining a dance tent, the question needs to be asked what would you rather have, him play in a tent in dance village or play on a main stage?

A good thing that nobody posting here is responsible for booking the acts or else I suspect Glasto would be a much duller place. Absolutely fine not to like them (can't say I'm a fan) but complaining they're on the bill at a time when they'll be countless excellent alternatives is silly.

They're clearly no angels but few Glasto performers are. Snoop Dogg wasn't allowed into the UK until recently and The Chemical Brothers aren't called that because they enjoyed science at school...

In my opinion its an attempt to appeal to a younger audience, although they've badly misjudged it. Yes a lot of young people like them but surely not the same young people who would attend Glasto? I mean they didn't put Bros, Brother Beyond etc on in the past!!!

My other bone of contention is that they're taking up space in the dance tent when this is clearly not dance music. This takes the space of another decent dance act and associates dance with this crime against good music.

Don't get me started with Chipmunk...all I will say is I hope he goes to watch Mos Def to see how its done.

And I know theres plenty else to see but thats not the only point....its the association with the festival that gripes.

Man, I got no problems with them playing. It's not my stuff, I won't be there, but there's no question that it's a great booking. Pop, young, upsets old people. something to stop the festival turning into a retro nostalgia fest. Fair f**king play, I say. I love this site, loads of good stuff abut it, but it's very meat and two veg 'proper music' sometimes. Undue reverence for old/conventional acts and dismissive of anything that isn't 'men with guitars'/ 90s dance acts.

I don't think the main point here is that they are simply playing, it's the very fact they're HEADLINING the tent. Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox, 2Many DJ's ... N Dubz. Anyone atually think they'll still be around in a few years time??

This idea that Glastonbury is completely diverse to the point where any act of any quality is welcome is bollocks. If that was the case why can't my 4 year old play the spoons on the Pyramid?

I dare say a response might be 'well they are popular' - if so sack the stage bookers as they clearly don't need to try and engineer a flavour of acts for the festival - they can just get someone on the phone working their way down the charts booking acts on the basis of units sold. That would make for a great festival I'm sure we'll all agree.

I'm sure they'll be something good on down the glade.

All this "they're not allowed at my festival" stuff is kind of sickening & the moral outrage at all the awful things they've done is complete hypocrisy, if they weren't so dreadful you wouldn't give a toss

On the plus side its all in one tent, on one day so very easy to avoid all the N-Dubz sort of thing, much better really than having them inbetween two of your favourite acts! Plus keeps the idiots who like this stuff out the way to, hopefully :P

But they are really really shite :P.

BlackHole has it right - although I think that certain "fabricated" acts shouldn't be invited to play. I'm still not sure whether or not tribute bands should play either ; I know that the Bootleg Beatles have gone down well before, and I'm sure the Abba tribute band went down well (I could only stomach a couple of songs last year of that before strolling off to find a brilliant blues act playing the glade!), but where do you draw the line? I mean, that Paul McCartney Bealtes tribute thing a few years ago was a bit cheesy at times. And he was a headliner :P

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
