Least favourite Glasto venue?

We all have our favourite stages and tents, but which ones don't you like so much, and why?

Personally I'm not into dance music, so don't spend much time in Dance Village, though I must say I quite like the smaller tents up there. For me, the Other Stage is my least favourite - it always feels a bit cold and barren down there - and the Acoustic Tent is the most frustrating, due to the slope making it difficult to see if you're near the back.

I very, very rarely go into the Dance Village once the acts starts, but I wouldn't say I 'dislike' it. I wander everywhere on the Wednesday/Thursday and it's quite cool to go into the Dance Tents to see the weird stuff hanging from the ceiling etc.

I don't like the Queen's Head much as a venue though, and I certainly can't stand any of the really shitty burger bars you see near the main stages.

Otherwise, everywhere is capable of having something on which is good.

I'd go with the Other Stage. If you stand over on the right you get some lovely bass from the Glade drowning everything out, the Queens Head was the same before it was moved. And I always seem to end up on the right.

Its still glasto though so that still makes it better than most other venues :P

Pyramid is terrible. Between the flags, folding chairs and backpacks i find it to be far more effort than it's worth. Was at the front for Blur and Dizzee last year though and it was much better. If there is anyone on there this year i want to see will make sure i get as near as possible.

I don't like big music venues as a rule. I'd prefer a smaller venue every time if I had the choice so I'm probably biased.

Of the three big stages at Glasto, I think I'd go with the Other as my least favourite. Field is too flat for a big crowd, sound is a bit dodgy and the Glade bled over quite badly on the right hand side last year. The Pyramid has the nice natural ampitheatre thing going on and the big screens and Jazz/World gets away with it by being a bit smaller IMO.

The Hospital tent is pretty shit. Just a few people on beds with bandages around various parts of their bodies. No music, no bar.............give it a miss.

I don't like the new John Peel tent. Much preferred it back in the day when it was smaller.

Think it's just got a bit too big and seems to have too many bands that the indie kids who would normally be at Reading like!!!!

Last year I was up there on the Sunday afternoon and it was really dirty and horrible around there.

    • I don't really worry about headliners (unless there's a real possibility of a once-in-a-lifetime artist landing for it) but I'm starting to feel a bit cold on the names floating around bar Fontaines.  Harry Styles and Sam Fender, I can see the value and commercially speaking, they've earned it.  Sabrina Carpenter is obviously popular enough to do it - but after she's headlined everywhere else and done Coachella earlier this year, is it not just a bit predictable to follow what other festivals have done?
    • Bollocks to “safe” headliners, bollocks to the masses. Get interesting, get risky, challenge people.
    • The Cure would be a dream, I can definitely see them doing a second run of festivals they may have missed this year and they seem the definitive Latitude act  If they do festivals next year maybe The Strokes could be a shout? Im stunned either them or Kings of Leon haven't played yet This is a great shout for names, youre right that CMAT is taking a year out though - we're like to know more in the autumn when festivals start making announcements  The only other act I'd really love to see is Idles headline the tent
    • Very sad for Greazy Alice
    • Nino 3.4 anomaly already in 'very strong' (>2.0C) territory.  That's very impressive for July which is still early days for El Nino development.
