This year will be my 7th Glasto and since 7 is considered to be a lucky number I think it will be especially memorable for all the right reasons :P

Number 3 coming up for me (and my 5yr old).

Slightly ashamed I wasted so much of my festi career at Titp (or should that be 'i was wasted so much at titp'??) but i was young(er) and didn't know any better. It took several years of persistence from my wife to make it all better.

(this feels like therapy - i'm glad it's in the open now, I can start to get over it)

I was just thinking about this yesterday funnily enough. 7th one this year for me. I've been the last 4 years, but I also went in '97, '98 and '99 and had to dredge my memory for the following:

'97 was the year of the mud and the only band I remember seeing was Beck. I missed Radiohead because I couldn't face the trek through the quagmire to get to the pyramid.

'98 was muddy again. Don't remember many bands (even after looking at the line-up), but saw Tricky and a bit of Robbie before standing in the cinema field to watch England v Columbia. Couldn't light my funny cigarette in the torrential downpour :-(.

'99

REM on the Friday and Orbital in the Jazzworld field on Saturday were amazing. Also saw Dodgy at the new bands tent.

Don't do drugs kids! :P

Strange isn't it, but there really isn't anywhere other than home that feels more like it. I had this conversation with a mate the other day and it ended with 'so, if you go frist I'll take your ashes down there and if I go you do the same for me.'

03 - Working on the emu disco again. Ska Paradise Orchestra, Radiohead

05 - Left McCartney to see Aphex Twin lol. James Brown!

07 - missed thanks to g/f breakup. >(

08 - Massive Attack!

09 - Neil Young. :0

10 - Taking 4 virgins with. :P

So this year will be 6th. Jeez - it seems like I've been going much longer! However my first 2 times I was there for about 10 days each as I was working. :P
