Acts NOT playing Glastonbury 2010?

It seems overwhelming since there are countless acts and only a tiny percentage will play Glasto, but when it comes to noteworthy acts, it can help narrow things down when trying to predict the lineup. Or at least it does for other festivals. We do this for Coachella all the time...keeping tabs of acts that have been debunked along with those rumored or leaked.

So that having been said, anyone know of any noteworthy predicted/desired/rumored acts that definitely aren't playing?

Oh yeah, forgot to start off the list.

Rolling Stones (band debunked when announcing no tour)

Green Day (Emily Eavis said so)

David Bowie (official site debunked, pr firm debunked)

Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings (touring the states that whole weekend)

Not officially debunked but have circumstances that decrease their likelihood:

Massive Attack (not invited yet, doubt they will this late)

Orbital (not invited yet)

Pavement (playing San Francisco on Friday, rumored to be playing Los Angeles on Sunday)

Emmy the Great (said next tour and Glasto will depend on the new album, still awaiting official word on status of this album)

PORTISHEAD

SNOW PATROL

DUFFY

RAZORLIGHT

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE

THE PRETENDERS

The Coral releasing an album this year (hopefully before the summer festival season). Found this on their myspace:

Hello everyone. We've just returned from RAK studio's in london and completed seven tracks with producer John Leckie for the new album. Sessions went really well with new tracks such as 'Rovin Jewel', 'Green is the colour' 'Sandhills' and 'Butterfly House' completed, among others. We're booked in for another session soon and will hopefully have a full album by the late spring. Tracks are sounding amazing, stay tuned for more updates!

There's a lot of blind speculation going on in this thread to be honest. Just because bands/artists aren't touring doesn't mean they won't play the odd festival (including Glasto). Just because bands/artists aren't playing festivals doesn't mean they won't play Glasto's 40th...(for example, DCFC will supposedly be playing later in the year, just nothing released yet, Arcade Fire have no tour dates planned, but many seem to think they'll play (I'd be surprised), and SFA turn up lots of times so I'd hope to see them at the 40th!)...

I think what Bort was suggesting here was for us to list bands DEFINITELY not playing (ie, the band themselves have ruled it out, their tour pages show they are playing somewhere else, or one of the eavii has ruled them out).

So, easiest way to keep track of things is to post a link to the source of the info when naming the band/artist...

eg Bowie http://www.nme.com/news/david-bowie/48616

Though WTF does the NME know! :P
