The Killers splitting up?!

From the Killers web site.....

The Killers have been forced to cancel their appearances in Singapore, Beijing, Hong Kong, Manila, Tokyo and Seoul due to unforeseen circumstances. The band deeply apologizes to their fans and hope to reschedule their shows in these cities soon. At this time the bands Australian appearances remain scheduled as planned.

They ain't splitting up officially, but are going on a hiatus, why I have only got to see them once, I think its probably the best thing for them. I like them but they have become slightly over exposed :P so a nice 2/3 year break then come back with a stunning album would be good.

IT'S ON GOOGLE?

IT MUST BE TRUE!!!

never mind the fact they have said the dates will be rescheduled and also the fact they are still playing the Australian dates.

believe me i wish they would split up but there is no way we are that fortunate!

I'm a massive killers fan, i guess I made that clear. But yeah i agree their last album was pretty poor but still LOVE hot fuss and sam's town. So glad to hear they haven't split up!! An incredible fourth album after a few years off would be great!!! At least a saw them live this summer before their 'hiatus' :-)

Ah The Killers. They could have been great. Hot Fuss showed loads of promise, and I really enjoyed that. They were ace at Glastonbury 2005 and I considered myself a fan, but then they released the cancer on the music industry that is Sam's Town. I cannot think of a worse follow up album, complete and total tosh.

I remember writing a review of that when it came out, and was amazed at how many different synonyms for faeces I managed to cram into it.

It's an insult to anyone with ears. It's an insult to any household pets who may have been subjected to it - the RSPCA (who for this occasion I will rename Really - Stop Playing this Crap, Asshole) had a field day on release day. I can't even use my usual put down of 'maybe whoever bought it needed some extra placemats' because even an old, unloved piece of pottery should be offended by Sam's Town.

I would love to know what drugs Brandon and co were on when they wrote and recorded Sam's Town, because whatever it was, they should educate kids using The Killers as an example of what CAN go wrong when you take drugs.

But the third album is WORSE, you say?! How, exactly?
