Views on Pink Floyd/Gilmour/Water's

One of my mega wishes was to see a Floyd re-union for Glasto - never going to happen with the passing of Rick Wright, and I suppose Gilmour won't return in a hurry after the alleged "snub" in Jay Z's year.

I see that Water's is planning another Wall tour this year - just wondered what your thoughts were on this show coming to Glasto, and any other Floyd-esque views?

i see waters solo website's been taken down to apparantly be replaced with a new pink floyd site so something floyd may be going on in the near future, not sure if anything would be glasto bound though but how great would that be

Also Roger Waters at Glasto was a dull self indulgent fiasco. I'm glad I left when I did.

I'm not really a PF fan. However the recent Flaming Lips cover version of Dark Side of the Moon is a very special thing indeed. Very highly recommended.

I thought I read that Gilmour especially did not want a reunion on the basis that a tour would

become a billion dollar operation or something ( ie it could not be two nights at Brixton Academy )

and he did not want the pressure of it.

As much as i would love to see them again,i think the chances of Gimore and Waters on the same stage again ar very remote. Waters proposed new Wall tour sounds ok, depends on who he has in the band.

Wouldn't rule it out completely, Gilmour did say on a BBC interview just before Wright died that while he wouldn't want to be involved in a full PF tour, he wouldn't rule out the occasional one-off show if the occasion warranted it.

I agree, having seen Aussie Pink Floyd several times. They've had the Bootleg Beatles at Glasto before (another great show worth catching) so the tribute precedent is there.

Aussie Floyd are touring the UK extensively in April and May, though there's no mention of June dates on their website. If you really are into Floyd and a Glasto show seems unlikely console yourself with the Oz Floyd tour. You won't be disappointed.
