Snow!

We've still got snow from a couple of days ago in Derby as it has stayed cold and we had no sun however it is now turning very icy. At work our car park is like an ice rink, and our heatings broken.

i really am start to shut myself with fear. had snow yesterday and somehow plucked up the courage to drive into work. its not snowed since but eveything is just one big ice skating rink - really am scared to go out in it

Trouble is, there's a lot of people in my work who live close to me (including 2 who live around the corner from me). If I phone in saying im snowed in and they turn up then my boss will give me Hell

I see the passengers on the Prestwick plane that ended up in the grass have been asked to cough up £6.99 each by Ryanair to cover the extra 200 yards traveled. Shocking.

It's started snowing again here. It was amazing walking through the snow covered car park in work last night at 8 o'clock - it was all frosty and the snow was glittering.

It took me back to my misspent youth, in my magic mushroom days. I can remember being spellbound by frost glittering on the pavement, and staring in wonder at our local slagheap, which was twinkling in the dark.

It is a beautiful sight though. I'm glad to have noticed it.

I can't believe how much snow is still around! I live right on the coast and the usual experience of snow is maybe an inch thats gone the next day.

(of course this is nothing compared with what greenfairy is dealing with in Beijing )

Here's a thought. If you park on double yellows that are completely covered in ice and snow, can you still get done for it?

I am on the Manchester/Stockport border and it is about 3 inches deep. No busses running at all and all the schools closed and many of the shops on the route in. Awesome as I have a number of sled

Snow has hit Brum. I hate the f**king stuff when I'm stuck at work. Where was it last week?!?

Now to hear everyone plan their departure from the office by 11am.

I won't be leaving early - I live right by the train station so if I'm snowed in, the weather would have to be seriously bad.
