Someone quoted earlier that they would like a 'live' set rather than a 'dj' set ??????????? much as i loved seeing them headline t in the park a good few years ago, standing behind that big round mass of knobs they could be playing anything/nothing. what is the difference between them live and dj'ing ??? i'm not at the wind up here, just can't see how what they do could be two different things

I'm just playing with my newly acquired spotify (thanks for the link Stone Circle.) And started listening to some chemical bros. Completely forgot about their early stuff from the 90s eg chemical beats. Do they still play these tracks when they play live. I overdid it at T two years ago and missed them :P

It's all about the Starguitar for me for the all over rushing body tingle...no extras needed for that one!

HBHG is too popular for my liking and I'm always happy not to hear it...

I like looking forward to hearing what epic tweaks they have put onto the tunes and the way they make changes to every single set not to mention playing the guesing game for what old tunes are in the set! (This is very easy to notice when one goes to see them 10 times in ONE tour and has been following them since they became the Chemical Bros! :P)

Will be a bit gutted if they clash with Muse as I missed Muse when they clashed against the (not missing it for anyone) last Orbital show in 04.

The Chems at Glastonbury never fail to outshine pretty much every other act when they perform live...I just hope that the Second Stage soundsystem is back up to the 07 levels cos the Prodge were nearly inaudible this year.

Unless there are twitterings that DP are heading out on another epic tour I aint keeping any hopes up for a Glasto appearance.

I think I would skip any band playing at Glasto to see the Chemical Brothers, they rarely if ever come to the USA and are high up on my must see bands list. Also I am surprised if eddychemical is him on twitter, there should be more people following him. Not that it matters.

At the moment the tune for me is Das Spiegel, but I also love Surface to Air - these are my favourite running tunes! Whever they come on my shuffle i am imagining myself under a Glastonbury sky. Hey Boy Hey Girl is great but only works near the end of my run, if i get it too near the beginning i won't be going very far due to going to fast too early!

Anyway - unbeatable live and no chemical additives required - honestly!

      Ah, that is interesting and ruins my theory a bit!!   I think my point just about holds though, and coming full circle on this discussion, being a sizable band such as Muse and not being able to sell out two O2 dates very quickly or at all doesn’t fill me with confidence that they be able to do a decent job selling a stadium tour…although maybe if Muse do something about their pricing, maybe they can!

      I’ve said it elsewhere too but Emily Eavis said a 2028 headliner was booked, to me that’s only going to be someone the size of Oasis or Taylor Swift

      It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
