Various Solo Female Singers

I'm literally just back from seeing Florence and the Machine play here in Cork.

I'm in awe.

She is the most dramatic, intense, talented performer I've ever seen in the flesh I think.

She captivated the whole 1000+ and kept up the whole act.

I would truly love to see her playing Glastonbury again.

I saw Florence at Shepherds Bush in September after missing her at Glasto this year and she had me open mouthed in awe, truly amazing.

Much in the same vain i would die to see Bjork. It was only my first Glasto last year so have not seen her. I have only recently got back into her and didn't see her live in her pomp. I would love a played down performance unlike the 2007 headline show. She is amazing.

Would also like to see Kate Bush as long as she didn't clash with any big pyramid headliners.

Was thinking of various young British female singers and who might play and if so where. So here is my guess

Amy Winehouse - No chance

Lily Allen - Too soon after last year, although it is the 40th

Florence & the Machine - Tremendous last year, hope she is 2nd from top on Other Stage

Little Boots - Prob mid afternoon other stage

La Roux - 4am slot in the Car Park

Amy Macdonald - High up in the JP Tent

Kate Nash - Following L Roux in the car park

Bat for Lashes - prob not this year although was good last year

Duffy - mid afternoon slot on Pyramid

Adele - Headline or 2nd headline the John Peel tent

Paloma Faith - Afternoon spot in Jazz World

Given I've already outed myself as a bit of a La Roux fan, I may be subjecting myself to further scorn here but shit or bust: Never really liked Ladyhawke. I see that there are some similarities as they are both 80's throwbacks, but I feel La Roux draws influence from the darker 80's stuff that I like, Ladyhawke has just imitated some of the 80's garbage I didn't.

She's not a well known name but she's awesome - Beverley Skeete. Sings with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings and used to be one of the Eurythmics backing singers. Does some stuff in her own right but I'd be pleased to see her with Old Bill. He's put together great band including Georgie Fame.

I saw little boots last night and she was amazing!, really loved her (This may be slightly influanced by me having a small crush on her :P). She needs to be in the JP though, as she now has this awesome laser harp!

Also, Ellie Goulding supported who really surprised me I didn't think much of her single (under the sheets) and thought she was just riding on the wave of electro pop female singers atm.

I also find her rather cute and very attractive but I am do quite like the music as well, live she is quite raw instead of over produced like under the sheets
