I loved them this year and they had a f**king massive crowd, Fire was a bit good.

Maybe if they hadn't played this year they could have been in with a shout of headlining the Pyramid on one of the days (maybe the Friday) as they must now surely be big enough and have enough songs.

Perhaps in 2011 it will happen, especially if they show they can headline Festivals next year what with them wanting to headline T.

meh...i dont think they will ever be big enough to be a headliner...

they have alreay released some pretty big songs, but seem to have the problem of having 2 good songs per album with filler..

Don't see why they would get the nod over someone like snow patrol to waste a headline slot...they have played way too many times for their own good recently....

Snow Patrol Kasabian KOL, probably the worst ever headliners for a festival is what i predict for T/oxygen

Compare that to what we had this year, blur bruce neil young......I seriously doubt they will come close to that but if its set as a standard for the future, then Kasabian hopefully will never ever ever ever ever come close to wasting a headline slot.....

but hey...there is always 30 other stages or whatever :P Just think it would be a step back for them..they could headline other stage though....and people would love it......i definately think they have overdone it with glastonbury, terrible management from their management team, granted they get alot of people listening to their music, but now alot of people see them as a could have been great band instead of a great band

srvman I just can't agree with you at all. I think they are getting better all the time and they are hugely popular.

You only have to look at the fact that tickets for their gigs have been changing hands at nearly twice the price of Arctic Monkeys despite the fact that there have been far more Kasabian gigs recently

I think headlining the Other Stage would be the right slot for them. You will see them steadily improving and one day will headline the Main Stage.

They put on a brilliant show - IMO they were 10 times better than the Boss last year (just getting my coat)

Can't wait to see them in Manchester in a week or so

I'm pretty confident they won't be at Glastonbury next year for the reasons mentioned above about them being 2nd from top headliners on the Pyramid twice in the last 3 years.

They would probably be nailed on for next year, if the "4th headliner" for last year hadn't pulled out, which meant they played the slot under Springsteen.

i love Kasabian they are one of the best live acts i've seen and i've seen them between 15-20 times.

but they were piss poor at glasto this year and average the two other times i saw them this year and their new found arrogance and posturing is begining to do my head in, even more so since Oasis split and they feel they have to fill the void left by the dickhead gallagher brothers.

Personally i think they haven't done anything decent since their first album, the singer comes across as a Liam Gallagher wannabie and they now attract the Oasis lad 'what you looking at?' element.

Great band and thought they were fantastic when they supported Oasis in june. Have also seen them at leeds uni on the empire tour and the whole venue was rocking for that. New album is their best too I'd say. Have always thought the other two had a bit of filler tracks for my liking but apart from 1 maybe 2 this new album is great. (dobermans still their best track)

They won't play for the reasons mentioned but the next time they do I can easily see them headlining . The latest tour has sold extremly well and thats even after playing to about 750,000 people at Oasis' gigs and their own tour in the middle of it. The albums still in the charts too and i reckon their going from strength to strength. If you were going to compare them to KOL, at the same stage halfway through 3rd album tour, I'd say Kasabian were bigger and have had bigger hits than them, and they headlined at the start of their 4th album tour.

and Bob newcastle arena does not hold 40 odd thousand people :P

Kasabian? you mean the "I'll always remember who i had to stand through before springsteen came on at glastonbury" band?

why would you want to see them next year at Glasto? coz you missed them at glasto in 04, 05, 06, 07, 08 and 09 and are worried you'll miss them in 2011 and '12?

some decent tunes, but lead singer is an absolute twat and needs to realize he isn't part of a band that has 2 great albums like "Definitely Maybe" and "What's the Story..." under their belt, but in fact is with a band that has just a handful of decent songs that just so happen to sound better live than on the record

I could picture the Boss watching the tv coverage before he came on, laughing and commenting "who the f**k is this idiot?", with his silly lines like "Glastonbury!!! you're on fire!!!" - what a tosser. pathetic haircut too.

serge is cool though.

o.k...post sent...awaiting the bottling...

I enjoyed them this year, although it was in broad daylight with the sun out and they strike me as the sort of band who would be much better in darkness.

I was supposed to be seeing them in Sheffield but something came up and I can't any more. Shame as I was quite looking forward to it.
