After hours singalong....what would you choose?

we have a bit of a set up in the Croissant Neuf Field, on the left immediately as you cross the railway line into the Green Fields. We do woody stuff, ranging from giant mushrooms to giant furniture sets.

we always have a big table with seating for quite a few folk and love the random and not so random musicians that play at our place late at night. this year we are hoping to do something slightly different as well. we have a small sound system and want to try a big singalong thingy.

if you have any suggestions for songs, we will try to have the song available on the music box but also we will have a load of "hymn sheets" with the lyrics so everyone present will have NO excuse for not singing along.

suggestions for songs will be greatly appreciated. it is and really should be up to you

thanks.

i'm a bit rubbish at computers, but will try to post a pic of our furniture to give you an idea. (don't hold your breath)

Umm something like Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon would go down well- yes it's overrated but at least everyone knows the chorus.

Or something by David Bowie, that would be pretty cool.

Rockin in the free world - Neil Young

God gave rock n roll to you - Kiss

Hey Jude - Beatles

Stairway to Heaven - Led Zep

Fat Bottomed Girls - Queen

Heroes - Bowie

Wouldn't it be nice - The beach boys

War Pigs - Sabbath

Is this Love - Marley

Money for Nothing - Dire Straits

Satisfaction - Rolling stones

Rocks - Primal Scream

Alive - Pearl Jam

could really go on and on for a very long time.

Monty Python - Always look on the bright side of life

James - Sit Down, Laid

Beach Boys - Sloop John B (best song for harmonising on ever written - FACT!)

Bob Marley - 3 little birds, One Love

Elvis - Suspicious Minds

Jonny Cash - Ring of Fire, Jackson

The Jam - That's entertainment

Ben E King - Stand By Me

Foo Fighters - Everlong

Therapy? - Screamager (personal fave, probably not a crowd pleaser)

I can play most of these depending on the level of inebriation, which if you planning on doing this after the main stages have finished means i'll be able to play none of them :P

Some of my personal favourites:

American Pie - Don McLean

Good Souls - Starsailor

Don't Look Back In Anger - Oasis

Whippin' Piccadilly - Gomez

Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie

Animal - Def Leppard

I'd love to get enough musical people together to give a good go to Good Vibrations too. And add another shout for Tender and Tribute as well!!!
