more space for Arcadia

Any idea where it would be moved to in order to give it the additional space?

there's not many options if it's still going to do it's late night thing - it'll have to be somewhere around the same area, because that's the only place the festival is able to do all night music (because Eavis has struck a deal with the few people who live outside the fence at that end of the site).

I guess one of the fields up that way is 15 acres, but I'm not sure which one it might be.

As I didn't really make it past midnight in 2008 and I missed 2009, can anyone enlighten me as to where and what Arcadia is? Is it part of Trash City?

Surely they should do something about the overcrowding in Trash City first?

It was ruddy impossible to get in there after main stages shut last year....and if you did it was ruddy dangerous....and then there was the ruddy one-way system down the railway track when/if you managed to get out....ridiculous...and one of the reasons that we're having a year off in 2010.

rant over :P

There will probably be more changes down there than the Music Week article implies. It's not decided yet.

As a general point, I wouldn't take the acreages given out by the festival too literally. By way of example, 15 acres is larger than the Pyramid field.

:P

While I'm not exactly sure how big an acre is, I was thinking that there's probably not a 15 acre field at the Shangri-La end of the site unless it was perhaps what are currently the green fields. Which made me think they'd have to be quite a large swap-around with things.
