I saw him with his strange sensation tour in the accoustic tent in 2002, and he's was blinding.

A mate of mine was watching the Charlatans at the same time. More fool him.

I first saw Percy in 89, on his Manic Nirvana tour. He was brilliant then too.

IDLE SPECULATION..........

When a band is planning a comeback after spending a while on the back-burner, for the months preceding an announcement of their return, there's often lots of uses of that band's music, I'm guessing due to DJ's & TV producers being paid to use it by the band's record company, to ensure their return cashes in as much as possible.

I'm suddenly (in the last week or so) starting to hear a lot more use of Led Zep's music.

Coincidence? I guess we'll find out.

+1 for the more info. Neil did the same thing a few weeks back and then left us in the dark.

Its like getting Captain Winky fellated to near completion. Totally pointless.

Robert Plant is definitely playing, 2 bands before Muse on Saturday night.

Great news I reckon - he was wicked last time he played a solo set, (as I remember) which turned into a crowd-pleasing Led Zep set, much to the delight of the crowd.

No gossip on the led zeppelin forums - They are usually quick on breaking news and some contributors are close to the band.. Only thing there is Pages solo project and them crooked vultures on tour - so its unlikely its a LZ reunion, and remains to be seen if RP will be doing it (even though "talks" have taken place). Perhaps its one of those "Special Guest tbc" slots a la N*E*R*D

that they try and keep schummm

However he is doing a Abbey road charity gig so there maybe no fire without smoke ;-)

Here is the official website news

ROCK fans have today been given the opportunity of a lifetime to see the legendary star Robert Plant play a unique and intimate gig in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Sound & Vision, sponsored by Shepperton, takes place at Abbey Road Studios on 25 February 2010. The event, which is now in its fifth year, has raised over £700,000 for Cancer Research UK’s lifesaving work since it started in 2006. Robert’s set will include support from American singer-songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman and the London Oriana Choir, in what promises to be a completely unique, one-off performance.
