Your Favourite 2009 Performance

Thought I'd post this topic to get our minds off stressing about getting tickets for mates etc for next year. What was your favourite performance from this year?

Mine has to be this, just a fantastic 10 odd minutes..

Mim Suleiman was a fantastic random find at the Glade, loved it! Dans le Sac and Scroobious Pips secret gig at the Igloo was a nice surprise too.

What I'd love to know is basically whether theres anyone who saw Blur who then didnt think it was the highlight of the festival.

i would have to say that Neil Young was by far my fave set of the weekend but Zion Train late on Sunday night/early monday morning also rocked my world big time

i've seen Kasabian around 15 times and their glasto performance this year was the poorest i've ever seen them play, it was ok but compared to their usual standard it just fell short by a long mark.

best performances for me was a toss up between Blur and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

while the BBC were pissing around at a snore fest, they missed the best performance ive seen at glasto since 03 (so consequently the footage isnt the best)

Blur as well but.... instead of seeing Neil Young we saw Ray Davies which was much better than I thought he would be

Sorry whilst I enjoyed Blur I enjoyed Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen more but we are all different in our tastes ...

I really enjoyed Steve Hillage too !

I saw all three aswell Dave, I've seen Bruce a good few times and had seen Shakey the week before Glasto. Hadnt seen Blur since 96 - maybe thats the reason? Certainly "Tender" eclipsed anything that Bruce or Neil came up with that weekend.

Either way I thought Bruce was really underwhelming when compared to his best. Alex came out and said that Glasto was their best ever gig. Depends what standards youre dealing with... is an average Bruce gig better than the best ever Blur gig? Hmm. Don't think so.

i agree.. biggest let down of the weekend for me. I dont fully understand why but they just didnt get me in the mood which they dont usually have to try and do! I have a video clip of us all during fire and everyone is just chatting or trying hard to get into it.

It may have been sound related though
