Other Stage

Well, Chemical Brothers and Dizzee seem to be likely, according to eFests. I could see a CB-Dizzee double-header on Sunday, but they are both legitimate headliners if it does happen.

But what about the other bands? Pixies are touring at the moment (I'm seeing them tonight :) ) but we also have Pavement, who played one of their last UK shows at Glastonbury in 1999 - both could headline or, again, we could see a Pixies-Pavement one-two of alternative rock legends.

Other bands who you could see heading up, or playing near the top of, the Other Stage? After Bloc Party and Franz this year - two very strong choices - being used to balance Neil & Bruce, could we see other contemporary indie/pop figures at a counterpoint with more legendary headliners?

I'm sure I won't be the only one to say Faithless, hopefully same time as Rolling stones as I don't really care about them. Never seen them live but from what I've seen from their last glasto appearance it would be a brilliant way to end the fest :)

Also my favourite band Arcade Fire could do as well I'm sure.

Faithless are amazing, but I'm already seeing the Faithless Soundsystem twice next month (different friends birthday treats), and have seen Faithless 4 times in the past few years. I'd like to see someone different.

Franz Ferdinand again! :) (I am to jealous I wasn't at glasto this year for that performance alone!)

I think it need to give another indie band a chance to show they can put on a decent show, but I can't think of many who are going have new albums out that would be big enough/good enough to put on a show worthy of the slot.

Maybe the fratellis if they bring out something new (On their day there a great band, the headline slot at Hop Farm this year was aamzing).

I strongly suspect that Florence & the Machine will actually be on the Pyramid, about 3rd or 4th from the top of the bill.

Their Reading crowd was tiny, so it would be even smaller at Glasto..

I'm not sure about that - Reading (this year particularly) has a very high number of 'pop-kids', so it's not really surprising that there was a lack of interest. The audience is far wider at Glastonbury, so there's likely to be more fans.

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
