Don't let the pressure get to you LW - we need a balanced leader! We need someone who is prepared to give and fight for what they want, but not one that would just relinquish everything in it's name.

Do not desert us now!! The weather gods will see our weakness....

Just resume power for your last year, only 2 more weeks, don't leave us now mate!!

YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! You know what I mean - but like you say, you aren't as extreme as some of the others on here, in comparison, you're kind of balanced (maybe?) You won't accept any r***, but won't sacrifice all your hopes and dreams for a scorcher.....

What do you say?

Dear warm-weather lovers,

I have decided to relinquish my position as chief rain-hater. It has become apparent to me that others are willing to take the cause to levels I simply cannot, to my great surprise.

...SNIP....

I have been,

Your friend and comrade.

LW

YES!

We'll banish that question like a shamed MP in an expenses row.

My 2ps worth on the subject before the banishing.........We don't have to choose, we can demand both, which I do - right now!

Welcome back LW :D

I would like it to be known that I haven't exploited the expenses system at all and never will do, but I am open to bribery in the form of alcohol once at the festival.

Thanks.

I'm as well balanced as James Cordon on a tightrope so your argument isn't a good one.

It's this weather talk, you see.

However, if you want an UNHINGED representative who is prepared to give and fight for what they want, but not one that would just relinquish everything in it's name then maybe.

The perfect weather at Glastonbury and the World Cup have no connection. In several thousand years of sun worship, no sun deity has ever demanded that a team lose a FIFA sanctioned tournament to ensure good weather at a performing arts festival.

We can have sun at the festival, go home and watch England triumph on the TV while it's pelting it down outside.

Furthermore, we can also win the Ashes this winter and statistically I must be due a fairly big win on the Lottery. We just need to believe.

No Rain. No Compromise. Come On England.

Okay - I have decided on an answer to the question I said I wouldn't answer.

I WILL accept the following:

England to win the world cup - and horrendous weather. IN SOUTH AFRICA. It would help our lot who are used to it.

Meanwhile, we shall all bask in the sort of heat at Glastonbury that would make a camel wilt and think 'thank f**k we're watching this in nice, dry, hot, sunny Blighty'.

Netweather have got rid of that stupidly inaccurate torrential r**n forecast and now have something much more accurate here.

They still haven't got it completely right, but long range weather forecasting is difficult and so I'm sure they'll fix it soon.

Ok, so in ode to my committment to NO RAIN NO COMPROMISE I've been wishing it to PISS down here for the next 2 weeks [though it being about 300 miles away, not sure it'll help]

Well it pissed down yesterday and from my window there are now very luminous dark clouds surrounding the town AND I just heard Thunder. TWICE!!!!

I need help.

I'm sat in my office, and it's been a really dreary, grey, wet day outside. Then, a glorious shard of pure sunlight shone through the window and I became aroused.

We've still got around 2 weeks of this. I'll be a wreck.

    • Yeah exactly, the shock moments, group layouts, etc all end up playing out differently once you get into the tournament. However you tweak it, you don't predict shocks.
