Eh, one of the reasons I've queued all day to see Bruce is to avoid the very problem you speak of. Standing tickets outside the pit is an unpleasant mess.

Once you've been in the pit - its hard to consider going back behind the barrier. I took the time to queue after reading the opinions on here a couple of tours back. Before that I hadn't been that arsed. Worth the effort every which way.

I still stand by it being an annoying system, I'd much rather be in the pub all day getting ruined.

Out of interest what are the fans in the queue like? I watched that documentary they put out not long ago and some of the fans were ridiculous. It's like they listened to nothing but Springsteen, all day, every day.

Yes ....and?

Most in the queue just want to get the best view they can and put up with a boring afternoon to achieve it. There's also a smattering of Bruce nutters - but they've usually got their numbered pit admissions by the time we get there (Cardiff for instance they started queuing the day before at least). Some of them are a little odd. We were stood in front of a guy who got a metal music stand out when he came on and followed the sheet music all the way through the gig.

Take a look if you haven't already at BTX - one of the Springsteen message boards. Populated by complete Bruce Nazis. That's where the real nutters hang out. You might recognise some of the posters on here as well mind - Nal for instance goes on occasionally and winds folk up I've noticed.

I don't understand how a legit outlet, like Amazon, gets away with selling product that has never legally been available?

Having said that, this is a much better option than the official 3cd/5lp live box set that was officially released

It is legal - I can't remember all the details, but basically there's some kind of loophole that means that certain foreign radio broadcasts aren't under copyright in the UK or something like that - so anyone can release them and there's nothing that Springsteen and/or his record company can do to stop it.

    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
