How do you find out about the secret resales out of interest? Didn’t realise they actually happened... Thx

It didn’t happen in 2017, but if there are any tickets going back in the pot before final refund deadline, it can be anytime after that date, unannounced - or not at all.

  4. Morning resalers and kind helpers.

Slept on and off, worried I’d miss the alarm. My stomach is in knots and Mr Moheetoes said I’ve been grinding my teeth like a horse during the night.

May the ticket gods smile favourably upon us all this morning.

    good luck everyone

Good luck everyone, especially those of you who kept me company in the secret resale thread last time. No-one wants to be back there again ? ?

I don’t think I can do that secret resale again either.

I very much doubt that SeeTickets would be able to help. You could stop the payment via your bank.

Look at the people on the list, check out how long they have been posting and their reputation score.

I can definitely vouch for @Cooter  @moheetoes @guypjfreak or @morph100 as all being thoroughly decent forum members! So perhaps help one of these groups?

    Good luck! :)

Thank you for your vote of confidence @StoneCircle, very kind of you and hopefully see everyone at the efest meet on the wed, and resale survivors meet on the Thursday

  7. Congrats to all who were successful last night, getting tickets in a resale is the greatest feeling, you’ll all still be buzzing and starting to catch up with the build up/prep - I hope I can do this come Sunday.

I managed to get through the first door last night for some friends on here and came so close but to no avail, however, it was an improvement on the October fail.

It’s lovely to see so many offers of help and yes increase your chances by teaming up with others. There is still a lot to get theirs on Sunday (including my group).

Remain positive guys, we’ll get through this.

  8. Didn’t sleep well thinking about shortcuts and text replacements and I’m not even going for tickets myself tonight, only Sunday, so going to try helping secure some coach tickets for the resalers here tonight.

its going to be a long day, good luck to all

    Hi all

I've marked myself as RED on the coach sheet as I am now only going for General, and turns out I have to try for 4 of us. If I get in again, I will scour the sheet for anyone who doesn't seem to have a ticket.

This is far more confusing than I originally thought!

Have you got all of your 4 on the list first big list?

    I’m just sorting my shortcuts

Just tried something in the sheet on the second page:

    What do you think?

Easy for me to follow as I’m only going for GA and will help with coach sale where I can.

Might it be beneficial to add the departure day required ie wed only, thurs only or anytime. I’m assuming I would just try for someone wed first then thurs by the required departure point?

Does anyone know definitively how many tickets per order can be bought in the resale slots?  I don't want to be that person but I really can't find it in the official announcement.

    2 tickets for coach resale

Please let us know if you and your groups are still in by highlighting your names in yellow

Updated my first group of 4 and made it yellow, I have another group of 3 (1 confirmed and 2 yet to confirm) to add but I didn’t want to appear too greedy.

one of my group has dropped out now so I have space for one in my second group to try for, so long as they’re not in any other buying group that is.

Cheers, Mardy. Is there any bother putting up a tent near the campervan?

Just tell stewards you’ll be pitching tents/awning and need a bit more space, we managed to get an awning on caravan and squished in 2x3 man tents,1x4 man tent next to neighbours on our off-side who kindly offered us extra space and a small 1 man tent, stewards very accommodating especially when a cold cider is on hand on a hot day

Right, so for East you just go in through Gate C. What happens at West?

Cv west has its own dedicated wristband/security gate for the cv west fields, there are 2 large fields but nowhere near as big as cv east, only ever seen one queue fri morning, and took less than 10 mins to get through.

  15. Coming in from cv west, one security guy went thoroughly through my day bag, opened my tobacco pouch and had a right good deep sniff in it, cheeky bugger did it whilst I held a brolly over him to give him some respite from the sun, I must look dodgy too.

How many tickets are you going for?

We are going for 7 possibly 8 - a tall order again - some I fear will miss out again this time (2017 it was my better half that missed out)

  17. 13 hours ago, Robinn said:

Well, guess it's time to get ready folks! Any from the 2017 crew going for the resale?

Yes I’m in the resale club yet again and I don’t  like the fact that I’m becoming a bit of a resale veteran, having been in this situation every year since 2014 with our wider group.

  18. Hi all,

just returning to the safety of this group following some downtime and weekends away to flush out the ticketless blues - seems to have worked for a few months.

now I’m ready to dive back in and start thinking about getting organised for resale day.

how are you all bearing up?

    Guys/Gals

Hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year.

Will catch up with you lovely lot in 2019.

    You too Andy,

hope everyone in here has been good and on Santa’a nice list,

merry Xmas and hope 2019 brings plenty of tickets for us all - April resale and first stab in Oct for 2020.

  20. First I act heard and ‘felt’ from looking at the lineup from 2004 was DJ Miss Minty on Friday morning.

Our group (my sisters’ hen party and brother in laws’ stag party most of whom had done a few Glasto’s in the 90’s) arrived at quite late Thursday evening almost going dark (we have arrived earlier and earlier every subsequent year) knackered from the walk in carrying all of our stuff, in through  gate d and literally not being able to walk much further, dumped our stuff and camped right on the track side opposite the portaloos (many a rookie mistake made that year) I remember catching the end of the England game and we lost on penalties at a burger stall on a portable tv on our first ‘bimble’ after we had pitched our tents that night.

Was woken up fri am by the almighty bass rattling through my chest coming from the nearby dance tent. Quickly got up and saw my groups faces with huge smiles realising we were embarking on a life changing journey.

i loved the huge dance tent as it was back in the day and haven’t really made friends with silver Hayes yet.

i think I missed kasabian on the other stage (disco cig got in the way) but remember purposefully lying down at the pyramid in the sunshine watching Nelly Furtado Friday afternoon waiting for groove armada

All Credit goes to @crazyfool1 for picking this one up - Sorry I don’t know how to quote from another thread

For @Penrhos and others who are looking for campervan resale passes info in this thread.

UPDATE: Following the accommodation sale on 27 October 2018, the campervan and caravan fields are now Sold Out. A limited number of additional campervan tickets for the 2019 Festival will go on sale at noon on Saturday 10th November. Any cancellations will be offered in a resale in April 2019.

But inevitably there will be a number of people where it takes them the best part if a year to save up for the festival. The vast majority of people here I imagine have a reasonable enough disposable income to be able to save £250 in a few months, or not needing to at all. But ultimately there are going to be groups who would be priced out by having to fork out that cash up front, you can't just put 'poor' in inverted commas as if this section of society doesn't exist. Saying they should take a credit card out isn't the answer when there's already a suitable system in place.

Paying in full won't affect the chancers as they'll just pay and get a refund if necessary, and you couldn't make it non-refundable due to people having genuine reasons to miss the festival once paid, it is 9 months away after all. The chancers are likely the same people who are prepared to leave behind £100s worth of tents and camping gear, they won't be hit by removing the deposit system but some will be.

Ultimately the system we have now is fairest, it's a lottery which will favour the most determined and well organised. If anything I would change the time tickets go on sale to 6am, that will deter anyone who isn't really that fussed at all.

I understand your points and the pros and cons of the deposit system have been debated a lot on other threads, I agree there will be some wealthy chancers who will pay in full too, however i’m not saying the less wealthy don’t exist, or should just get a credit card, if they’re determined to go and need to save for a year, they could be part of a group who have a collective pot to pay upfront with rather than forking out for the entire group themselves they just need to be super organised for the October initial sale.

Having to pay out in full for the resales in April though suggests that anyone with access to limited funds are excluded from these resales by default too.

I don’t know what the correct answer is, but I would still prefer to have the full purchase price in one go - that’s just my opinion.
