You'd in effect be barring groups of people from the sale because they're poor, as anti-Glastonbury as you can get.

I’m not a fan of potentially excluding anyone from any ticket sale (including reopening the registration process for resales) everyone should have the chance to buy a ticket if they want, but not all are lucky as we know.

I think paying in full would only deter the unorganised bigger groups and the chancers. I would bring back paying in full upfront like it used to be.

The ‘poor’ as you put it, if organised properly within their own group(s) wouldn’t be barred, if they ‘cherish’ Glastonbury they would know how much prep is involved in organising your group for T-day and there are ways to get organised within your own group financially too if super prepared and trust those in your group - have a card/account that the group pays into and used by all in the group to pay in full for tickets.

Well I am going to watch Underworld later. Ideal time to practice some moves in preperation for when I get a ticket next April.

Have a fab time, we met the guys from underworld in a small nightclub when I was working in Japan years ago, they offered us guestlist tickets to their gig (they were supporting the prodigy) but mr moheetoes politely declined them (wtf - I still haven’t forgiven him - don’t think I ever will)  as we were booked on an early Mt Fuji excursion the morning after the gig - still haven’t seen underworld or the prodigy live....

  3. I’m feeling more positive about the resales and having had success in them for the last few years keeps the hopes alive, it doesn’t get any easier having been here a few times before either, you think it would, but nah.

my mates who were lucky securing a cv ticket means I can travel down and camp with them again when I get a GA ticket in those resales - it has brought a slightly more positive feeling to the current situation.

i probably need to get something booked into the pipeline to fill the current void over the long winter.

    have a happy weekend all

Are we running a resale club for CV tickets too?

I am in need of one after an epic fail this morning....

I’m guessing yes. I’m sorted for CV, just need a GA ticket and will be available to help for resale CV passes too

    Ziggy was ferking epic.

Agreed,  my dog Ziggy continued to snore through ‘his’ song, not even an ear twitch - must not be used to a live version

yep, £5 a month which includes 40 texts, extra texts are £1 for 10. If you don't use all the texts in that month, the unused texts are rolled over into a new month's subscription if you take one out.

It was exceedingly successful for getting resale tickets last time there was a resale (tho of course that's dependent on how fast you react to the alerts).

PS: the money from checkpage helps support efestivals. I ain't getting rich (the opposite; £15k the wrong way right now :( )

I’ve used this over last couple of years and it is a great alert tool.

gold membership prices really are good value for money also - it’s great to help support the continuation of this site with the wonderful community and support on here plus the invaluable advice this site provides, worth every penny and a lot more besides.

In other news, £100 to sit at the back, in nose bleed territory at Wembley for Fleetwood Mac.

    Tempted....

Thankfully, I’m not a Fleetwood Mac fan

    that’s one expensive nosebleed

    Hiya,

Looking to buy 2 campervan passes on Saturday. I already have out trailer tent but our friends are looking into buying either a caravan or campervan.

    So my question is..

I've read that a vehicle registration number is needed when buying the campervan pass. As my friends don't know yet whether they will be towing a caravan or driving a campervan.. What will they need to put in?

Thanks.. Hope this makes sense ?

From memory, It is the Glasto reg number which has a valid ticket purchased against it is what you need, not the vehicle reg and that person must accompany the camper/caravan into the cv fields with festival and camper tickets

Looks like my original ticket purchase is still valid so I'm 100% free to help on resale day.

That is great news on the ticket front, plus an extra helper too......and breathe out........

    You're in :)

At some point we need to decide how we're going to actually make The List work for us :)

Need to add my details still - work has got in the way again.

for any smaller groups grouping together - they need to group by postal area if possible for “local” pickup as all tickets (from memory) in the April resale get sent to the lead booker’s address -  I don’t think anyone would want the added trauma of sending on tickets via post (especially when SEE aren’t that tardy in sending out in the first place).

Still the issue of how payments in full could work without jeopardising people’s personal card details.

I can only read this thread and i have occasionally been dipping into the local sales thread where there has been some serious drama

    Anything else I canny bear

I had a look in there too last couple of days, got a bit too heated for me, I’ve also been looking at advice for newbies /your first time etc as this has made me remember what is so special about the festival and my first couple of years there - makes me genuinely happy and excited for the newbies who are going to get their minds blown away and become addicted to the place.

also made me think that I’ve had a good run at getting tickets historically, doesn’t hurt any less to be ticketless again but I think I’ve  made my peace with t-day and I’ll attempt to join in other threads at some point.

I’ll probably still hang in here mainly though and try to keep the positivity up.

No because two tickets were purchased for the same postcode & email address using different registration numbers - because someone forgot to update their spreadsheet for T-Day....

Fingers crossed for you that you still have a valid booking and aren’t back here come April

Did a short presentation to my team today on Glastonbury, tried not to promote it too much including videos of the mud in 2015..

It did however feel like salt in the wound having to talk about something I love knowing there's a chance I won't be able to go this year

    Keep the faith..

There’s also a chance that you will go too

it’s not over until those gates open

Do people get a tiny bit of info the day before or is it a case of waiting for the page to change and sounding the alarms on here? Being a local I never normally have to worry about this but here I am

No warnings, page checker alerts and being glued to here for alarm bells going off, oh and being very lucky, organised and ready to go when the time comes

    However the

Last year was the first time in recent years that there has been no secret sale so to state they are a thing of the past is maybe a little premature, as we know, there is no pattern so they could easily be one this time around or there could not.

I never want to go through that shit again though...

^^^^ totally this, I absolutely can’t be on the secret resale thread again next year, it’s April or nothing for me, i think............
