  1. Rubbing cold water on your ear lobes works as well, instantly cools you down
  2. Do UV brollies actually work? i'm not to fussed with the sun but could do with having something to keep my 2 and 4 year olds out of the sun for a bit
  3. This has upset me more than when the weather went from sunny to downpours overnight
  4. My cats are inexcusable. I had another tent up, a really old one that I was re waterproofing and was up in the garden for a few days. When I went to take it town I found they had been using it as a giant litter tray, I have 3 cats
  5. Any one purchased one of these
  6. Are people really complaining that it might be a bit cold. 18 and 19 degrees isn't cold especially when you are in a crowd and after a few beers. I would rather it be a bit warmer but this is England in June, all that should matter is the ground isn't a bog and rain isn't coming down all the time we are there. I think with how hot some of the recent festivals have been people are expecting it on a regular basis now. I would much rather have to wear a jumper throughout the day rather than a rain coat
  7. queueing will start as soon as the car park opens. If people park on the Tuesday night which a lot do most people will go straight into the queue, especially if the weather is nice.
  8. Do decathlon do a range of warm & White tents?
  9. I know the kidz field next to the acoustic tent opens on Thursday at midday, what about the one in the green peace area, is that the same?
  10. My tickets were just delivered with the rest of the post, didn’t even try and get a signature
  11. I can’t even remember 2016 being bad. 2007 was my first festival so I’m sure I would have remembered it really well anyway but there’s no way I’m forgetting the weather that year. 2016 however I can’t really remember complaining about the weather.
  12. I don’t care if it’s muddy and I’ve got a pram and 2 kids to push. Just don’t want it to be raining much whilst we are there.
  13. Anyone need a light for the tent, can't get much better value than these: https://www.mountainwarehouse.com/mini-camping-lantern-p16240.aspx/black/ I've just got 3 and they are really bright and have 3 settings to tone it down a bit. I prefer that they take batteries rather than having to charge it up. Down to £2.99 and free collection if you are near a mountain warehouse, also extra 10% off at the minute
  14. We've walked up the Tor on the Tuesday a few times. We just parked in town and walked there, its not far. I was expecting loads of people to be there but there have only been a couple of groups each time
  15. I think this is what it is. Mine has a few of these then also 4 holes where one of my cats went to hit a fly but missed and put there claw through the tent. You can feel the holes from this but nothing on the other ones but they look exactly the same
  16. Walking boots all the way. Bought a decent pair 10 years ago and have worn them every festival.
  17. We have queued up for the last 5 years, not going to bother this year. Coming with 4 adults and 2 toddlers so don’t really see the need to not get a good nights sleep on the Tuesday. Going to camp in Wickets so no rush for space. Would rather get there at around 1 or 2 in the afternoon refreshed and walking straight in. If I didn’t have the kids and was planning on getting hammered every night I would be queuing up. Think there will be more people than ever queuing this year, wanting to get every valuable second on site
  18. Going to use this for the car park. I always think look at your surroundings, make mental notes of trees and anything noticeable that won't move. In reality its park up, straight out and get your gear on as soon as possible and head to the gate. Could also be handy for your tent, especially if you are one of the first in a field so no other memorable tents around
  19. We’ve got a gazebo that is fully enclosed that we are bringing. We only have a four man tent for 4 of us so will be storing all our stuff in the gazebo and will have somewhere to sit if it does rain
  20. Got my lights on and tested on my bike trailer to push the kids round in. Got bike lights on the front wheel, fairy lights all around the side and a pole with multicoloured lights about 2.5m tall.
  21. I really like the Oggies. Me and my wife get one each, a meat one a vegetable one then swap half with each other. Bargain when Sunday comes around. I remember one year they were going for a quid each
  22. Came home from a couple of days away and my tickets had been posted through my letter box. They had to be signed for in previous years but not this year seemingly
  23. I could spend all day on Friday at the pyramid or the other stage and be happy
