  1. We've rented cars for 4 times to get to the festival. The first time was just a normal car for 2 of us because we didn't have a car at the time. That time it cost more than getting the coach but for convenience we did it. The other times we've rented people carriers, last year we had 7 people. Rental was £400, car park ticket £50 and petrol was £100 so £79 each. We took a lot of food and drink with us so saved on money whist there which we wouldn't be able to do on the coach. The coach this year is £91.
  2. I just want the sale to happen ASAP so I know if I'm going or not. We've decided if we don't get tickets in the main sale we won't bother with the resale and plan a different holiday
  3. Has anyone listened to the new album yet?
  4. Has anyone been to Towersey festival before?
  5. Been going since 2007 and missed one since then. I still love it and get the excitement in the build up and will be trying for tickets but if I didn’t get them I wouldn’t be gutted like I would have been 5 or 6 festivals ago. If I could miss next year knowing I would definitely have a ticket the next year I would do.
  6. We got onsite about 3 and got put into Orange 39. Got back to the car about 9 Monday morning and didn't move for an hour then moved half way out of the field, after another half an hour got out so not to bad. They say between 8-10am is the worse time to leave but from what I've heard this was the best time this year. Maybe everyone has thought this was a bad time so very few left then. Sunday night looked very bad. As we were going back to the tent past Woodsies thousands of people were heading home so they all would have got in the cars the same time. 3-4 hour queues to get out at that time
  7. 100% no one here knows either way
  8. People needed waking up after Ben Howards performance
  9. Bon Jovi has the sing a long hits to make it a fun hour
  10. It is a different festival with kids and I enjoyed it in a different way. Had a few drinks each day whilst I watched some bands and then had a lot more to drink on my night out. I wasn't really feeling my night out anyway and went back to the tent at 2. I really enjoyed feeling so refreshed each day with drinking so little and getting decent sleep. Great to be up at 9 all raring to go for another day exploring.
  11. I did see a group of people at the top of the field who were already set up when we got in about 4 on Wednesday who didn't have kids anytime I saw them but that was it
  12. My daughter is 5 and my son 3 also. Was there second year and they definitely enjoyed it more this year than last. We camp in Wicket and I think its great. Loads of space around the tent so the kids can run around and play there. I know its a bit of a trek to the kidz field but the other family camping is so cramped I would rather have the walk. I saw about 10 bands over the weekend, some with the kids but most with other members of our group whilst my wife had the kids. One of us would take the kids for a few hours while the other did what they wanted to. On Saturday we both took the kids to the kidz field so we could sit in the shade and relax. We went with 3 other adults so I went out with them on Friday and my Wife on Saturday and the other took the kids to bed. I took the kids to see Arcadia on Sunday night and the QOTSA and they loved it since it was so quiet they could run around. As we were packing up they asked if we can come next week
  13. Saturday was to hot and I was concerned about my kids but we were all fine. Moved around a bit slower than normal and made sure we were out of the sun for a few hours, the kids field is great for this. The kids were transfixed by a lady telling stories whilst me and my wife relaxed in the tent with a slight breeze coming through. Ideally would have had a few more clouds in the sky and a few degrees lower but if you guaranteed me that weather for every festival I would snap your hand off
  14. The pinch point at the top left of the pyramid field just gets worse and worse. Trying to get back to the family camping whilst blondie was on and it was just a standstill for 15 minutes. All it would take is a few stewards making people stay to the left and you could get a nice flow going.
  15. Snap and my 3 year old

    Carparks

How are they moving? We’ve been in orange for half an hour and haven’t moved
  17. Loved it. Was towards the back with my 3 and 5 year olds who also loved it
  18. I walked across the top an hour before and it was getting busy then. Having a relax at the tent with the kids before young fathers and arctics. The foos bore me but they do know how to put on a show, great booking for the festival. I would have been down the front if it had been pulp
  19. Walked past the homes under the hammer guy half an hour ago at west holts
  20. Anyone park in Pink or Orange recently? Hearing people are being told there’s no public parking at the minute and people being sent to blue
  21. I’m still on the fence. Will have a pram with 2 kids so if I go I will be right at the back and even then if I’m not feeling it and want to leave it will hard if not impossible. QOTSA will be great and will have loads of space so the kids can have a run around. Think I just decided QOTSA
  22. I don't think they would want to headline. We've known they are the secret set and have done for a few weeks but when they headline they will get months of PR before hand. Headlining now rules them out to do it again for a while
  23. They normally bump the sub up don't they, Royal blood headlining would be one for the ages
