  1. I can't divulge that information I'm afraid. She has made us all matching outfits for the festival though. Shirts for me and my Son and dresses for her and our daughter
  2. Only slightly Glastonbury related but my Wife is a contestant this year show. The first episode is tonight at 9pm on BBC1. She talked a lot about Glastonbury during the recording, don't know how much will be shown in the final edit.
  3. On the hill. I think there were 3 sets all set off at the same time last year
  4. 10pm I think. We watched them from the tent in the family camping
  5. The great British sewing Bee starts Wednesday night BBC 1 at 9pm. My wife Vicki is a contestant on it.
  6. It wasn't the tickets, was a new credit card I didn't realise had expired. Previously I have had to sign for my tickets but last year they were just delivered normally
  7. Think mine have been delivered today. Just left the house to do the school run and on hanging from the letterbox is the envelope. Didn’t have time to open it
  8. Thought they would be on the park if they were anywhere

    The Park 2023

    they are on the poster
  10. I've listened to it a few times and it does sound good. Since Tim left they have gone in a different direction but when they play the old songs live they still sound great.
  11. I use to like DJ Dougal and Slipmatt, loved doing my paper round listening to my dreamscape tapes. Also like your standard house music really, but also would go to a jungle night. I think what I'm trying to say is I like all sorts, that's probably why I don't know the areas because I don't need to look for something, I just wander over there and start dancing to whatever takes my fancy and there will always be something.
  12. Is this the first time its had it's own poster? would explain why a lot of people haven't heard of it, including me
  13. Does anyone else get confused with all the different areas and stages or just me? This will be my 11th Glastonbury and most nights I've gone to naughty corner but not to see anyone specifically, just to find a beat to dance to. I don't go to clubs anymore so my knowledge of DJ's is limited so unless its a DJ who's been around a while, will always try and get to a Carl Cox set if he's around. I think the last DJ I specifically saw was Carl in the back room at Space in 2000. After a day of drinking a reversing truck in an empty field gets me dancing. I'm glad most people are finding DJ's that they want to see though and if Carl Cox is going to be here I will see you down the front.
  14. Sleeping in the car or in a camping chair the sleep you are going to get isn't great anyway so you might as well get in the queue and get it sooner. The first time I turned up in the middle of the night I slept in the car and by 5 the queue had gone past my car so from then on I've just gone straight into the queue. It does get very cold just sat there though so be prepared especially if it forecasts rain. It rain quite a lot one night, probably 2016 and we used the ground sheet from our tents front porch to cover us and our gear, worked really well
  15. If I was the new owner of the site the last thing I would want to see just after the acquisition is the old owner driving people away from the site. He’s already banned people, some for legitimate reasons but others caught in the crossfire and another forum has been set up on a different platform due to this I’m grateful for this site as are lots of other people. You’ve done a great job Neil over the years but maybe it’s time now to have a step back. I’ve no idea why you are having a go at Crazyfool. Out of all the contributors on this site he seems the most excitable about Glastonbury and his joy and excitement seems to rub of on people. The way I see it the meet up he is arranging is an extension of this.
  16. Getting the tents out today for check and re-waterproofing, not like they will need to be waterproof, NFRNFC
  17. It is a nice quiet place to relax. There is a nice food place right by the entrance which has a lot of seating inside to. Does breakfasts and then turns into coffee and cakes place through the day.
  18. You should be fine. Last year it wasn’t totally full for the whole festival
  19. I think family camping is staying in Wickets now. Can't remember where I saw it but I'm pretty sure someone emailed the festival and they said it's still in Wickets
  20. Got the bike trailer out and went to the park with the kids in it. The park is at the top of a big hill, not to steep but long, probably pyramid stage to the top of big ground. Did it last summer and was fine, needed a couple of rests this time. Kids grow a lot in a year
  21. Definitely this. Over the years I've seen some fairly big bands in there when the main stages have been on and the crowd has always been very small for the size of the act. If money has to be saved not paying for this will make a fair saving.
