  1. Past hour
  2. Not like the good old days before twitter.
  3. Just had our accomodation cancel on us after having it booked since November (!!!!). Everything has skyrocketed in price since then and now we're really really struggling to find anything affordable. We were already a good 45-60 mins away on the metro to try and keep the cost down. Freaking out over here !!

    UK Politics

I think we will see alot more of this going on. Nowadays political parties like to recruit people who don't actually believe anything. They'll first search through every tweet you've ever made if you've never tweeted anything political 10 out of 10, if you've tweeted anything that may go against any party policy in the future or maybe embarssing for the party your off the short list. Its also useful as your less likely to rebel against the party whip.
  5. Looking for a resell/swap option for 2 person pod pad or bell tent in sticklinch - or at a push, a 4 person bell tent in worthy view? We have a 6 person scout tent in worthy view that could be swapped for the smaller option if others need to upgrade (for direct exchange of cost of course!)
  6. they do in America. Such a balls thing to still exist, I hate it. Remember when Beyonce brought out Tricky? Most random guest ever.
  7. Booking gig tickets is the best tonic for this and JM will be fab! Defo an act I’ll be sad to miss at Glasto this year* (*last minute ticket win dependent!) If it’s any consolation, I’ve just asked my family to enter and nominate me and it turns out there’s some kind of waiting list for the rewards programme for customers who haven’t already signed up! Ups the chances a bit for some?
  8. Absolutely would be wonderful!

    Electronica/Dance

Theres word he’s on arcadia i think —- booked my first bangface yesterday! looking forward to it although kind of sad its not in that pontins anymore bit worried as i’m basically a guinea pig for the new butlins venue (worried it could be full of security, bad vibe etc). Butlins far nearer at least! anyone got good stories??
  10. but in the end probably behind the scenes Labour saw this Tory MP as vulnerable because of his work in NHS and have been negotiating this for a while and it is all nicely timed for a few days before these locals. Same as Mail on Sunday will have a massive exclusive on Rayner kicking some homeless bloke in the head tomorrow morning.
  11. there is some overlap between tory and labour, same as with all parties. It's a big f**koff Venn diagram, with all the sexy sensible centrists in the middle being all pragmatic and above all that ideological nonsense.
  12. Let’s have some more austerity that’ll be great for mental health
  13. How long has he been a Tory mp ? Bonkers that anyone supporting the nhs can be part of that party . Has it taken him 14 years to realise whilst voting through all those damaging policies
  14. Today
  15. He's a mental health Dr in the NHS so has seen first hand what the Tories have done to it and can't be apart of that any longer.

The cynic in me thought it makes him more likely to be re-elected but apparently he’s not going to stand at the next election so I guess he’s speaking his truth.
  17. Yeah no doubt it’ll damage sunak further … he’s done now surely . What a bloody mess
  18. I mean...it can be read that way, I'm sure some will...but Labour will just see this as a big blow to Sunak just before the locals so who gives a f**k. Maybe he just saw the light, vote for the Rwanda bill one day and the next sees the light and becomes a radical socialist.

    West Holts 2024

I’ve said this for years, west holts and the park fields would make a solid small festival for sure! edit: even the food and drink options would be decent.
  20. So who are these folk on the field this evening?
  21. I guess they need to win over Tory voters … but does it make Labour more Tory ?
  22. In my making an effort to lose weight I walked up and down a mountain today. Pen-y-Ghent to be precise!
  23. I’ve not got Octopus and I bought my last Tony’s this morning, I need to start giving it away but it seems shabby as it’s already opened! I’m not running around London looking for the tea. Everything else is entered. i bought myself Janelle Monae tickets this morning for Brixton to cheer myself up 😀

    Glastocam!

Yeah it was a nice surprise as with the amount of rain we’ve had I was expecting loads of puddles and certainly a lot of mud. Walking boots came back as clean as they were when I put them on.
