Judging by Google results, Odd Future pulled out on 5th August.

The Clashfinders with Chiddy Bang still listed show a clash between them.

If you go by last years time they won't clash.

But If The Cure over run they'll get 2.5 hours. They seem to be playing nearly 3 hours at most festivals, so they could start earlier which might push some acts earlier.

They've filled chiddy bangs spot on nme im guessing, about the right size and type for it. Im very happy with that, little gutted they wernt announced for FR or dance so chuffed now

Because your childhood dream being to win an MTV award is a pretty damning indication of that person and probably society in general.

Well that's unfair. He grew up watching MTV, I don't think you can really think badly of people who feel good about be honoured by people they grew up absorbed in. It's not a bad thing in anyway.

That said, you never let fans down. If you book a gig you should attend it. Dropping out for something like that is a bitch slap to fans who wanted to see them.

I seem to remember MCR playing both sites on the same day so they could attend the MTV awards. I know they get slagged off on here a fair bit, but at least it shows that there are still some bands who care about their fans and commitments.

Point taken I guess, I just refuse to believe that any MTV award is the pinnacle of recognition in any trade (be it music, production or film) and it was far more likely that it was good for his career/profile to be there. I can understand winning an Oscar beign a childhood dream, but not an MTV award.

It's nothing to do with him being able to say "I can make awesome videos" or "I'm a fab rapper" it's just something he always wanted. It's barely like a Kids Choice award as well
