21p pop?

But they are still not in the clear rock category anyways, I wouldn't consider them as a rock act they are hip-hop,electropop,indie pop and alt rock but thats not an actual rock, you can go check that so yeah

Im an old boy and don't really see sub genres as a thing, apart from the music media making up. So for me its Metal, Rock, indie, dance and folk.

Although lets be real. Sziget are not having 21p, BMTH and Deftones headlining in 2026.

It will be an EDM act, even more so that there isnt a shortage mid August.

Anyone else chomping at the bit for some more 'concrete' announcements? Feels like it's a constant stream of PR social media posts, none of which are really saying anything.

The Wombats announced for Grape festival in Slovakia for the 15h of August (Saturday).

I know they're boring for anyone in the UK but they have only played in Hungary in 2008 (Sziget) and 2015, missed both of those occasions so I'd love to catch them this time.

I caught them a couple of years ago at a UK festival and, got to say, they were far, far better than I expected. Far more entertaining than The Kooks were at Sziget last year.

Would make a great, fun, late afternoon booking.

Sziget has a really nice undercard this year.

I think the one or two of the headliners could be stronger and they aren’t necessary my cup of tea (bar Florence & the machine which is always a great booking for the festival, and also Sombr who I would be excited to see live).

However , the undercard has some real gems.

Cassia, Loyle Carner, Parcels, Paris Paloma, Sub Focus , Tomora, Wolf Alice & Zimmer 90.

The festival has made some really strong bookings for the undercard this year and the line-up as a whole (for me) is far superior to last year’s.

A couple of acts we've really got into this year are Swimming Paul and oskar med k.

Does anyone know if they're likely to be playing in Revolut, or more likely to play somewhere in Delta District?

Swimming Paul will be revolut i would be surprised if not. but he’s the kind of alternative electronic music which i usually find at a38 (revolut).

2 of my favourite acts so far. with Nation of Language. Sziget seems to have the ones to have in 2026! 👏

I agree, have discovered some great acts this year.

From a ticket-sale point of view, I suspect they still need to announce a couple (at least) of well know mid-size names, along with a strong Saturday headliner to get the attention of more punters.

There aren't that many acts i would have known at Sziget if I was just casually looking and comparing European festival line-ups this year. Maybe 15 or so.

i would be happy but looking at their schedule only 14th could work. but it is very close to us.

Way Out West teasing The Hives on Facebook, according to that forum. Got to say, their line-up this year is amazing, they've absolutely knocked it out of the park.

Loving the Sziget line-up so far, but there's a good dozen of acts at WoW that I'd like to see.

Way out west always have a cracking lineup, pity it clashes with Sziget.

The Cure at Paleo Switzerland. A festival of the size of Sziget should have them, not?

I'm surprised they don't. They seem to be having a career resurgence with younger people too.

Think the boat has been missed now though.

Most of The Cure's calendar filled up well before Xmas when it wasn't even sure if Sziget was happening.

Not entirely sure they could have fit Sziget in with other festivals even if they were asked.

So Budapest Park Stage is a new stage and some of the already announced names are playing there (Beton, Analog Balaton..)

Finally some news regarding organization.

I'm really curious about the size of this stage as some of the announced names are really big in Hungary

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
