Camping chairs

I'm going to live up to my name and be grumpy about one thing...camping chairs in the main arena!

It was crazy, bank after bank of camping chairs choking things up, stopping folk getting a decent spot to stand in for the latter performances.

It was like a 'party in the park' at your local green space, headlined by some nondescript who performed on the X Factor 20 years ago.

Chairs are generally ok around the edges, but they were taking up so much space in prime viewing areas...and some of them were huge, the sort of lounger chairs you have in your garden at home for soaking up some summer sun.

Hopefully the organisers will do something about it in the future...but I'm not holding my breath.

it's been an issue for years so I would say your right to not hold your breath.

Yeah shambles trying to get in (and out) at the main stage.

Doesn’t happen at any other stages. Imagine wandering in to Parklands with 20 of your mates and putting your chairs in a circle in front of the stage.

The new main stage has got a great view from the back of the hill. They’ve also now got the huge screens plus extra speakers behind the sound desk.

Up there is where families can sit safely and enjoy the show. Not in the middle of the pit 😂🙇‍♂️🫣

The new main stage set up is perfect to empty out after the big acts. Loads of room to head out safely and quickly. But……1000’s of folk hitting the chair circles at the same time was causing log jams all over the place. Accident waiting to happen.

There was a row of 3-4 at the back of Parklands for Pixie Lott as we were trying to leave to go to The K's, basically blocking the way out

My thoughts !

piss take !

don’t set up a circle with people not even facing the stage yeah the morons will counter we stood up and faced the right way when the bands were on ! 😂

high traffic areas around Oktoberfest it’s a bar and people are going for a drink leave pathways into the arena .

yeah after Travis I got myself into a situation! It was totally blocked a circle of folk with there small children that in my opinion should have been further back up the hill ! I said f!?ck sake this is ridiculous not aimed at anyone just the group of them in general! Obviously the language was colourful but considering they had just seen fran Healy say C?!t 18 times it not a problem really 😂 any how Rambo jumped don’t speak to a woman like that they played the card I didn’t say much else all I will say is …… in the area they were in keep sitting there and when Ketty Ken takes your kids out and folk get hurt don’t complain!

A family with young children will get hurt guaranteed
