fwiw I don’t recall seeing many freebies for APE this year - def not widely-available ones at least. all of Lido’s (bar Charli) had £10 tickets but APE only had the NHS giveaways from what I can recall

Quite a few of APE were on Tickets for Good. I got £10 tickets for the Maccabees through Tickets for Teachers. Think Barry Can't Swim was on there too.

yeah those are the ones I meant, I just couldn’t remember the names - apologies! i mean that they weren’t as readily available to the public as Lido, which anyone could get on O2 Priority. a lot easier for someone to access O2 than Tickets for Good

Ah right, gotcha. I think you're right, and the days of straight up giving away tickets en masse to the public or competitions where everyone wins might be fading it out. Seems easier now to distribute that same leftover ticket allocation through more restricted channels like bluelights/tickets for good/concerts for carers etc and still get the benefit of bar/food/merch sales.

Ticket acquired. Are we expecting many more acts added to the London lineup?

Got burned on this with last year's London Outbreak. Suggested more acts coming and think it only ended up being one in the end.

Format of APE is more established though, usually has about 5 stages/tents so should be more to come. Looking at Clashfinders and posters from previous APE days might help guide expectations.

What are the chances of seeing Deftones, Idles & Amyl. If it follows previous APE events then no big artist will be on against Deftones. Just worried that I may have to pick between Idles & Amyl and that will be Amyl as my partner likes them.

I was hoping that maybe the second stage might be a dedicated stage for what I think are rap artists. Not my thing and so no idea who they might be.  Are any of them likely to top the second stage and high positions on the main stages and potentially help with clashes for someone with zero interest in rap? Do you think the rap artists may get a tent stage?

Would love to also see Deafheaven, that might be being greedy.

Based on previous years you’ll be able to see all of them, but not every minute of each. Lower of the subs will finish on East stage as the other sub starts on the West. The West sub then finishes as main headliner starts back on the East. If you’re at the back of one you can get to back of the other quite quickly, but if you’re at the front it’s going to take 10 minutes or more.
