Outbreak 2026

My interest has been piqued as I missed out on tickets for Deftones own tour, but I'm a bit confused. So Outbreak usually do one festival in Manchester and one in London, and APE do a festival in London? Outbreak Manchester 2026 and APE 2026 have announced their dates. So is this new Deftones date part of the Outbreak London weekend, in partnershio with APE? Or is it a one day standalone crossover event between Outbreak and APE?

It would look a little poor to headline Outbreak one year and end up in a support slot the following year. I assume they are only doing the one day with Tyler.

They’re 3rd from top on the Tyler day in the same venue they headlined last year, hmmm

Outbreak usually do a weekend in June in Manchester, for the first time this year they had an additional event in London on the Friday of that weekend under the ‘Lido’ festival umbrella.

For 2026 they’re still having the Manchester weekend event in June, but the London date is in August and under the ‘All Points East’ festival umbrella. As far as we know it’s just a one day crossover

Yeah, I guess that is a little odd 😊But I was more thinking that they were the headline act at LIDO/Outbreak and would be a poor look to be a support at All Points East/Outbreak at the same venue bur get your point.

Lido is smaller capacity and doesn't open the east stage the biggest Victoria park stage

I know but its still a poor look unless you dressed it up in some way like "by popular demand etc"

Just do not see them taking such an obvious downgrade, no reason for them to do it.

I personally have no idea but if it's in conjunction with outbreak it should have some outbreak esque names

this would be the perfect opportunity to do a dia de los deftones they do in the USA but in the UK

Very similar with the hip hop/alternative acts, I like the lineup so far

Feedback online mostly seems positive to this. Maybe will look into the presale tomorrow and getting a ticket properly.

Aware this might age like milk in about 8 months when everyone else gets their tickets for a tenner.

Always a risk but Deftones and Idles on the same bill is pretty huge, it might sell better than previous experience suggests.

Anyone have experience at these Victoria park gigs? What's the sound like? Eyeing up getting a ticket for this and abandoning trying to pickup a resale ticket for Cardiff since the sound in the Utilita is always bunk

Pretty famously hit and miss at APE. Can be quite quiet. I've done okay with the few times I've been there (specific gigs in signature), but you have to be okay moving around a bit in the crowd to get a decent spot.

my gut instinct is this should sell very well. that Deftones Crystal Palace show this year was like gold dust. that was about 25k but with Weezer and High Vis. Idles are a better fit that Weezer, and haven’t done that many UK shows in the last twelve months, and High Vis could very well show up on this bill. the price is obvs a lot more here but with a couple more big names I feel like this should be a good seller

Fingers crossed, would like to keep supporting Outbreak, especially if the partnership and money from this helps fund the main Manchester festival. Felt a bit burnt last year paying full price for Lido x Outbreak and then loads of freebies going around just before.

Yeah I got tickets for that Deftones show, and did Eden Sessions too, so I've seen them fairly recently. I've seen most of who I'd want to see on this lineup before a few times, but Deftones, Amyl and Basement is a good day out. I still think Outbreak might pull something out of the 90s emo box for the undercard or something and then I'd really have FOMO not going. Not a fan of these escalating price tiers and the cost of acquiring more info on a complete line-up before pulling the trigger.

Feels like a bit of game theory in all of this. Prisoners dilemma in that we should all cooperate and wait for the inevitable freebies but it's not going to happen is it.

Sorry guys, I think I'll be ratting you out and signing up for the presale...

    • No worries, it's a perfectly fair question to ask. I would expect people to be talking at the back & near the bars & that is where I would want them to be talking. If your group are enjoying yourselves & the music & briefly chatting to say how much you are loving a certain song etc, you would be an ideal group to stand behind.   My issue is with people having full blown conversations (usually unrelated what is on the stage) whilst being surrounded by people who are trying to listen to the music. This was happening in the middle and towards the front of all stages, & so you have limited options to move around & you may have spent 20 minutes waiting for the band trying to get the closest position that you can. If there's a group of 8 people, there may be 2 or 3 that like the band & the rest will start talking if the music isn't their thing. This may be the norm now for festivals, and if it is, that's ok & I will focus on a band's own gigs & UK based new music festivals.    I'm also not including consequences of my own decision making. I saw Geese on Wednesday so went to Occident after Men I Trust finished so it was understandable there would be chatting that far back. Similarly, getting to The XX after Olivia Rodrigo along with most of the site, I knew my chance of a good spot & a chat-free zone had gone so that was completely reasonable.   PS. I went to Bilbao BBK in 2023 & 2025 & enjoyed it. For Pulp & Kylie in 2025, I got a position early & was surrounded by a respectful & fun crowd for both. The UK non-headlining bands tend to go on the undercover 3rd stage, & most people like to congregate outside so you can usually get close to the front of that stage.
    • Interview on 6 music earlier, was going to get the album to have a listen, but comes out the day they play the festival
    • Additional dates added already
    • I feel like it's not COMPLETELY beyond the realm of possibility that they could headline but I just don't see it.    They're not doing anything other than headlining. So nah, I don't see it.
    • Consider that the sound quality can be better near the front bars right behind the soundbooth rather than closer to the stage, like with mbv. And of course, the front sections are full of talkers too.   The most courteous move would be to have conversations in the very back of the field.
