Matt Cameron just left the band a couple months ago, Doubt they will be back next year

 

Eddie is playing today in Ohana with Earthlings (playing his solo album of the same name)

 

Rumours usually start after Ohana so lets hope something comes out. 

 

If anything happens next year it will be either Eddie Solo or Eddie with Earthlings in Europe.

Lytham Festival in UK announcing first act 8am tomorrow. Same dates as Rock Werchter, and I think the same promoter as Isle of Wight festival, who are heavily rumoured to have The Cure. 

 

Could help us to work out which dates they'll be available to play Werchter.

Doubt it’ll be the cure tbf.  Both them and Scarborough are announcing at the same time and can’t see them playing the latter

Yeah looks more likely this'll be shared with Lytham and it'll be a case of ruling someone out of Rock Werchter. Festileaks forum seem to think it'll be a poppier name for Live is Live, which would also fit the audience Lytham go for in the UK.

Well live is live in 24 had The National, Paulo Nutini and The Smashing Pumpkins. Live is live 2025 seems to have not happened?

 

I would suggest by that they won't get The Cure and it'll be someone aka Paulo like.

Have heard a big modern pop name thrown round elsewhere, which would fit the bill for the likes of IOW. Assuming it was embargo'd as I've seen nothing to suggest this artist is active or touring.

Would they sell out rock werchter though? They are 2 of my top 5 all time artists, The Cure maybe, Nick cave less so. The Cure one of the main reasons im going to Primavera Sound. 

 

A trio of The Cure, Nick Cave and Gorillaz wouldnt be mainstream or big enough for Werchter.

Nick Cave does sell more tickets than, let’s say, The Killers, Fender or Lenny Kravitz who headliner in the past. At least in Belgium.

If he plays he headlines, or the very worst co headlines. Just don't see him as a werchter headliner thats a big ticket seller.
