The Prodigy is an unexpected lovely bonus!

What we thinking? Friday Co-head tomorrow and then big ole batch on Friday before ticket sales?

That's been the best announcement since the first one by a country mile. The idea of a Friday though of The XX, The Offspring and Teddy Swims is poor.

'smaller' is relative. They are a pretty big name here who headline small -to-medium sized festivals. Add to that an international crowd and that Mumfords are pretty divisive, I'd say you are guaranteeing a packed Barn + complaints. Not saying they won't do that but it is a risk.

Jimmy seems to think TWOD and Lorde are out , which is who everyone was expecting . Will be interesting to see what comes instead then , also scraps the Thursday “ leak “

So do I, The Prodigy are going to sub Thursday and I don't see why they would be a Lorde replacement but she is already doing than a usual set.

Are The Offspring out of the discussion?

I think they are Friday sub.

Unfortunately not

To be honest for Rock Werchter there can't be much issue with The Offspring. They've already made the subs much better than this year so far. The Prodigy, Moby and The Offspring would be decent but theg don't necessarily strike me as an under The XX band which could still be The War on Drugs which wouldn't be as good and Saturday is just Saturday

TWOD and Lorde no longer the expected , everything’s been shuffled . We’re back in the unknown.

I think Lorde still plays on that Thursday who headline the barn.  The app order certainly indicates they’re not subbing anyway

Thats a debate that would set a few people off!

Foals for me.

Foals?! Saw them in Moscow and at Glastonbury and they were pretty boring

Unless I’ve got her dates wrong she’d need to play 3 days in a row.  Italy and DTRH (I’m working and flicking so I could have it wrong)

Terrible booking really but each to their own.

How is Simz a terrible booking.  Wouldn’t be a headliner (or co) either.  More likely a barn headliner I’d say

Well for me she is, I'm not a fan and see no attraction at all. People are going to think bookings are bad or poor etc, that's life.

But that doesn’t make it a bad booking.  I’m not a fan of Moby but it’s a great booking for the festival.

Anyway, as always moving on

Teddy Swims - The Offspring - The xx. That’s just dire isn’t it.

I cannot see it being that run at all tbf.  But… I’d happily watch The Offspring and The XX are one of my must sees so I’d not moan

That run would make it a take a trip into Brussels day , which wouldn’t hurt tbf

Who you hoping for matey?

I still can’t believe I’m getting to see The Prodigy in the barn.  Mental booking if it ends up that way in the end

Well nothing they ever announce is going to be a bad booking then is it if you are not allowed to say that as a view?, but I am allowed to find some bookings a festival makes as a bad and poor booking and others good one's unless that now upsets people who intend to buy tickets.

There is also a much slimmer chance of seeing The Prodigy in the Barn than on main, they are magnitudes bigger than nearly every barn headliner, many play much smaller venues outside of Werchter.

NBT, bad booking due to being a repeat. Sam Fender was a bad booking due to not being a ticket seller etc….

The way the lineup is set up so far indicates they’re in the Barn.  But we shall see I guess

Doesn't indicate anything, just shows a list of acts on the app which all have been on main they have added The Prodigy below Moby, that'll all.

Right so you're taking it back to this years again when Sam Fender pulled out again who couldn't sell tickets for toffee...multiple people also agreed on him being a weak headliner and the results showed it...but again just mentioned me. Fender was massively a poor choice of headliner for the Saturday night on a big anniversary year of the festival no matter how you dress that up. Didn't you even point how yourself it's odd how they rebooked so many acts to return the year later all on the same day together but I guess that's not an issue.

I have said The Cure, Moby and The Prodigy were great bookings. I have also agreed that The XX, Offspring and Teddy is a poor top 3 but so does most of festileaks so go and yarn at them for it too. I have also The Prodigy actually brings Werchter back into light so where are you getting all this rubbish from? I Mumford is a but unneeded just 3 years later yes but praising recent announcements doesn't sound negative to me, I would take The Cure, Moby and The Prodigy at many festivals I attend although MK Bowl is very nice and close for The Prodigy so it's not a deal breaker.
