2000 Trees 2026

Recommended Posts

Amyl & the Sniffers would be one hellova bag, but could they be too big now? I'd be really happy to be wrong.

They headlined Bearded Theory, a similar cap to Trees, in 2024 and played the same slot as Turnstile on The Other Stage at Glasto this year. I feel they've only continued to grow in popularity since the summer, even if their Spotify plays remain quite low in comparison.

I was anticipating them headlining Green Man, as that fits with Oya the same month. They subbed GM in 2023, so it may still be too early for them to return to headline.

I think they've been announced for something in Europe in August so that could be a suggestion they're not about til later summer.

I'd rather they're not there, I'm just resigned to at least one headliner I don't like, there's always at least one.

Last summer they played from june-august in Europe so not a stretch to assume they'd be here for a run, suppose have to make the most of it coming from Oz

They're currently lined up for Oya, which usually shares quite a chunk of bands with Green Man. However, Kneecap played all three last year, so all hope is not lost.

As james and gav have recorded 3 pods in days in cluding the sarah pod i think it will be unlikely we get another band slip through before the announcement

I'd say there was a fairly big hint that Unpeople are back, and maybe less of a hint that they might be on the Wednesday as he said Unpeople were the new house band for Trees and then quickly went into how good the Wednesday line up is for next year

Is there any reason Neck Deep would

be out the running to headline? The are about the perfect size and have recently changed management. Sure they have nothing announced for next summer but that’s not unheard of for trees bands (Broco played this with 2 warm up shows as their only 2024 shows).

Maybe just a hope as I’m craving a pop punk fix since won’t be making it to MCR over the weekend.

There's no reason they'd be out of the running. Other than the top three at Slam Dunk, pretty much any (realistic) bands could still be in contention I think.

The only thing going against them is James has said previously on the podcast that he tries to avoid booking too 'Slam Dunk' headliners which Neck Deep probably fall into.

It's possible for sure

Half of those 100 bands will have played within the last two years. I always look at Trees’ lineups and think it’s one of the most repetitive festivals around. So much vanilla booked so often.

Yeah they do a lot of repeats but there's a lot of Trees faves which is why. Every festival in this country is pretty repetitive

If you take the wednesday out of the equation which is advertised as a returning bands day.

The fest does generally well not to book too many repeats though last year had more than other years from but the neu stage was manly filled with bands playing for the first time and most of the headliners hadnt even played the festival before
