Saturday ticket it would be, the rest is a no even more so than this year. That's a weak Download Festival but it is what it is. I think Deftones are potentially the next act to headline Slam Dunk next year if they are mainstream enough, but that's based on me thinking they won't get the headline opportunity. Download should have stronger options about than to have that top two combination. I think your second stage is probably about right although INK could be 3rd main. I reckon The Interrupters can probably play above that now.

Deftones at Slam Dunk? Maybe your maddest suggestion ever. That’s never, ever happening. They aren’t suited to that festival at all.

They’ll get the call to headline DL. They’re following the exact same path as KoRn. Finally stepping up to headline big US fests, playing big outdoor shows here and then, next summer, they’ll headline DL and a load of the other massive heavy EU fests.

Maddest suggestion ever?, give over lad! You've had more incorrect suggestions and predictions than right one's! It won't be that different from when Enter Shikari headlined. US festivals has nothing to do with UK so it's a poor example plus Korn have been subbing Download for much longer and done bigger tours over time to at least support it so it's not the same path at all! Korn also didn't need the heavier support they did for their shows, I don't see a Download sub this year having played under Korn but I do for Deftones.

If them 3 end up as headliners it'll be the weakest 3 in history of the festival along with 2024s trio and probably weaker than that overall as well.

Calm down, love. I said your maddest take. Also, it’s a prediction forum, of course everyone is going to get some right and wrong. I’ve never claimed to be ITK anyway (apart from Green Day this year) so simmer down, Mr Man.

What festivals do Enter Shikari headline in the US? What’s that got to do with anything anyway?

Deftones have been subbing Download as long as KoRn have. In fact, they’ve never appeared as anything below sub at Download, whereas KoRn have.

They are taking the same path as KoRn. If you can’t see that, well, I can’t say I’m surprised. Everyone else can, though. Keep up with that Copium.

I agree with everything you’ve said, and I’m being really nitpicky so ignore me, but in 2003 they did play third down main. 👀

Korn did a decent size tour with less strong support needed to sell it.

Apart from Green Day, the band you continued to predict every day but Friday until it became very clear it was happening.

Doesnt matter what Shikari headlined in the US, doesn't matter what anyone headlines in the US when it comes to UK shows. It's irrelevant the crossover from the UK to European appeal, let alone to US. But if it's fits your narrative then you have have it.

How have Green Day not sold out their day with less than 3 weeks to go?, not even a tickets low warning on the site.

I'm happy for there to be less people there on the day but to book them with their day which is very strong and easily get tickets still now is madness. It just shows the appeal.

Im here for this, those headliners are 👌 Not planning on going next year but I’d be there with that. Not a chance getting those 3 in the same year though imo

Linkin Park tour dates for 2026 Europe announced with Thursday in Munich before Download weekend starts and no date after until Tuesday. They also have the whole weekend currently free for RAR. I'd be amazed if they aren't booked for both. Saturday or Sunday for Download.

Ghost, Blink or Iron Maiden and Linkin Park to headline. If Blink then Maiden in 2027 for their farewell.

Apparently it IS 4 days next year

If it's 4 days I would suggest those 4 above. They would be making an effort to 4 days for many others as they simply don't need to and Metallica aren't surely going to be back that soon.

I'd be amazed if they did Reading now over this, not that I ever thought there was a chance of that. They'll probs grab Foo Fighters and Olivia or Sabrina. The final act won't be LP.

Got to be something like Iron Maiden last Download/festival shows, Deftones, Ghost & Linkin Park

They wouldn't extend to 4 days to add Deftones, they would be a booking if they were struggling for a headliner or had one pull out. If it's Maiden, Ghost and LP they would have been done a while ago now and they dont need a weaker headliner day to then book a weaker undercard again...see this year, to then have problem selling it. Green Day sell tickets for their shows by the bucket load yet they can't sell this out. Sleep Token sold a lot of tour tickets yet they can't sell day tickets out. I actually Shinedown are a better band and have better songs. Korn can't sell their day out either....I'm not really shocked though given their biggest single show before was only 25k in London with two smaller options making half the Download capacity on a poorly attended year. Download only had 4 days 2 years ago this year and it has been comfortable to see since they used a lot of options than could be spread over two, but over one instead.

My belief is that the sent out 4 offers for bands and they all got accepted to some extent, therefore certain changes had to be made to include them all
