Drowning Pool are apparently playing the Sinner album in full which is 37 mins long so them getting a 45 min set mid Second Stage makes sense to me. I could be wrong but I’m sure I’ve seen somewhere that Cypress Hill can only do the Friday so I would expect them to sub Bizkit.

It might well be the case. I get it but I also think you'll see more tickets spreading it out better. FOB, B4MV, Sum 41 and Marilyn were booked to sub them previously. Going back to this new Download look which I think is rubbish anyway as they've just repeated who they always booked and loads of metal at the top but ADTR were probably going to sub LP in 2017 when they were due to be booked. It's just much more festival friendly for them. They have had Iggy, Slayer, Disturbed, BMTH and Placebo at festivals play 3rd down slots to them, not INK lol. The Pretty Reckless are shite but I'd have them on Saturday too, they fit into Halestorm. Download has done well further down but up top so many other festivals look better. With Pendulum, like with The Prodigy, I think unless they make one night zippo clash with a headliner they are just a dead booking as it's too light. If they ended up 4th down or subbing second, it's the most unflattering slot for them.

Almost certainly going miss some of these due to clashes there so I’ll add Behemoth.

Limp Bizkit / Cypress Hill / Electric Callboy, I think. Big ol’ party of a Friday night.

I've just no interest in that, not sure how Cypress Hill are subbing either to be honest. You're probably right though. They'll never sell out of day tickets gor that though.

As for top 10 in no order.

Linkin Park

Halestorm

Pendulum if in a decent slot

Scooter

Feeder

Hollywood Undead

Drowning Pool

Social Distortion

Ankor

Ash

I actually don't really have 10 bands I care for enough so added the final two to make it.

In no particular order

Feeder, Architects, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Kublai Khan TX, Paleface Swiss, South Arcade, Landmvrks, Trivium, Pendulum and Trivium

Architects ive been thinking about a lot recently as i think their show (if on the 2nd stage) will be a cross between Pantera and the Sex Pistols, one for crowd density and secondly how f**king chaotic itll be, if thye ask for people to crowdsurf like they normally do, i think head of security on the stage will pass out

I prefer what RAR did and put Bizkit as the late night act. I accept Cypress Hill are a fresh good booking but they are surviving there off of two songs. Callboy would be better headlining second for me, I'm not a fan but from seeing them it would make sense as they would do well from their light show.

Nah, they’ll just be boring like they are now. Don’t like Axl’s Mickey Mouse voice? Head over to the second stage and hear Sam’s Mickey Mouse voice!

Such a shame in the decline of quality of that band, not only on record but live too.

They’ve reduced themselves to imitating those who imitated them. Sad.

Apart from Halestorm provided they are that day, it's not set up for a great Saturday. Currently, it would have been better to have LP and Bizkit swap days but then no way are LB closing Download over LP. I think that top 3 for Friday, while for some it's fun!, it's not particularly that strong. They did a lot better on the face of it with last year over all. Avalanche had some decent smaller bands, just a shame second stage was very poor apart from a couple of options. Obviously it's all subjective.

exactly my point, would rather watch them atm than GnR

Doubt they’ll clash anyway tbh. Will either be same time as Trivium or on in between

Not sure where to really put this but I can't fathom why Biffy Clyro brought Saturday Superhouse, up their easily with their best songs back for two big shows and then didn't bother again. Wasn't played on the smaller Shepherds Bush either. They played it at one of the futique acoustic shows as well but its not the same acoustic as full on.

    • 2 jobs ago, i used to cycle to work - 20 miles every day, rain or shine... i did that for 5 or 6 years.   during that time, all the shows i went to i bought shirts in size M as they fit perfect all was good.   fast forward to now, my bike sits forlorn in the garage... and every single one of those t-shirts serves only as an embarrassing reminder...
