Genuinely interested in people's views here. Discarding the expected bands this year, which 3 headliner acts would you want to play at DL this year?

They have to be still touring/capable of performing.

I would want RATM - Slipknot - Limp Bizkit.

Slayer/Ghost/Foo Fighters

Limp Bizkit will be on Saturday. Megadeth and Anthrax are guaranteed to be playing.

I know they are playing Rock For People Thursday but they could do two days back to back if it's not a massive production. Maiden are doing it I believe.

Megadeth aren’t playing according to some guy on FB whose son went to their Black Sheep beer collab Q&A earlier this week… 🤣

I imagine Megadeth would've said for there to be no questions about their tour dates for next year and to just ask about the beer collab.

At the moment their only festival the week of Download is Rock For People.

Limp Bizkit / ADTR / Skindred / Hollywood Undead

Trivium / DOWN

Guns N Roses / Volbeat / Twisted Sister / Anthrax

Electric Callboy / Babymetal

Linkin Park / Bad Omens / Ice Nine Kills / The Pretty Reckless

All Time Low / Alexisonfire

I can’t see the big slots being much different to this tbh. Day dependent, obvs.

Is it just me or does it look like it’s going to be pretty bleak lineup wise next year?

Dream 3 I would want Nickelback, AC/DC & Def Leppard (Never seen any of them and highly unlikely I’d pay for their own shows). From who is around this year the best 3 would’ve been Iron Maiden, BMTH & Yungblud

It's looked bleak for a while, all the other festivals around have taken the best acts.

I'd actually like Andre's Friday but not with LB, put that lot of the Sunday and we're talking. Currently LPs undercard is shocking.

At this point I'm just accepting its GnR, LB, LP. Seems all but confirmed now that Saturday and Sunday are LB and LP. Only difference I can see with the headliners now is us getting Ghost instead of GnR... Feeling its 60% for GnR, 20% for Ghost and then 10% we have been blindsided and its NIN, Muse or someone else (no idea who else it could even be)

If it’s not GnR then it’s Ghost.

LB seems to be Saturday given their other festival commitments.

LB can still play Greenfield that weekend and Bad Omens already announced have Nova Rock Thursday and then can only play logically Download Sunday. I would have thought given they have a bigger stage show it would make more sense to play Austria and Switzerland Thursday and Friday then have Saturday as a free day needing to get to Download Sunday? If they were just a run of the mill 4th down act will less stags probs for 50 minutes it would be different. So Greenfield could easily be Bad Omens, LB and one other.

I don't get why more people aren't guessing Muse. Do people think they are just gonna fly to India to do one show in February and do nothing else next year?

There is nothing yet suggesting anything and flying to India in February has no Download connect. Helps me out if they are there though.

Tbf in 2024 they did only 2 Middle East gigs and that was it for the whole year.

Well the rumour in Muse fan circles is that the band will be around in some form next year. Less clear as to whether that's festivals or own shows, mind. A few festivals I thought they could be contenders for have come and gone without their presence being declared.

To be honest India and February is in some form lol. My feeling is closer to a new album being released later next year with a 2027 festival run.

I don’t get your point.

I thought Limp Bizkit have been announced for a festival on the Thursday. Making it difficult / unrealistic for them to travel to UK for the Friday. Which is why I said they’ll headline Saturday. No clue why you brought Bad Omens into it but pretty sure they’re playing somewhere Friday. So they’d main sub Linkin Park on the Sunday.

Because  LB could just as easily be headliner on Saturday at two different places. The reason why I bought Bad Omens in is because the place LB could could instead they are the only headliner announced and to play under LP Sunday would make more sense to play Greenfield Friday. They've got a big productions set to play Austria Thursday, Switzerland Saturday and then get setup the following day for Download for a set that would be earlier due to not headlining. That's why.
