If we are looking at 3 from GnR, LP, Ghost, TOP, Bizkit & Iron Maiden what would be your best and worst case scenarios?

Best: Limp Bizkit, Twenty One Pilots & Guns N’ Roses

Worst: Ghost, Linkin Park & Iron Maiden

TOP Iron Maiden LP for me is best.

On the SOAD presale pages it has this listed as one of the pre-sales: "Download Family Presale"

Anything to this? or does Download commonly do this for various gigs with no link to a festival appearance?

Nothing to do with DL. They just send out presale for big Live Nation shows.

Second SOAD date at Tottenham on the 15th July, bloody expensive but managed a standing ticket for the first date this morning

Think Download would need a brilliant undercard to get me there next year

I don't think they'll be doing Download next year with a second Spurs date. At 12pm there was only 33k in the queue, while they seems a lot, those numbers compared to others are really low. I might be wrong but I don't think they are planning to be doing Download next year. I don't think they'll do 120k next year and still return in 27 for another 75k.

Oh no they won't be at Download next year, I was just trying to make the post more relevant to the festival 😅

I was number 26000+ and this was only an artist presale, with Spurs member presale Thursday and general Friday, think they'll sell the two days comfortably

Blimey. I must be underestimating them then.

I think that'll be the difference between SOAD playing Download in 27 and not. SOAD have taken the two outdoor shows instead I think.

@LazyDavid I know dude. It was said they have 2026 and 2027 booked out hence it's suggested that they do stadium then Download 2027 but I reckon with this they won't. A lot of people would have signed up for that presale, it was free after all, I don't think the other presales coming with change that much as today was essentially a general sale for anyone that signed up.

Second attempt tomorrow then, will be a problem now for me as the World Cup semi-final is on that day, fingers crossed England dont play that day 😂

My guesses:

2026: Deftones, Iron Maiden, Ghost

2027: Bad Omens, System Of A Down, Parkway Drive

2028: Biffy Clyro, My Chemical Romance, Limp Bizkit

2029: Spiritbox, Metallica, Bring Me The Horizon

I want to fit Linkin Park in there somewhere. I could see it being them just as much as Maiden next year. It’ll be one or the other, I think.

Deftones and Maiden are ruled out for '26 and Linkin Park are basically guaranteed for '26

The last time they toured properly 20 years ago, they did big venues. They were big then. They're big now.

They played in 2011 and 2013 tbf, they played dates every other year between 11 and 17 and 4 dates of that were big outdoor gigs. They only ever played the UK over a span over around 4 years way back anyway plus smaller and support gigs. They've had an 8/9 year gap. and 6 years before that but then did 4 years in several. They never did big multiple arena gigs. They are my favorite metal band though so I will see them whichever way. Tomorrow will likely be to cover just in case too.

Also it was never ever going to be Deftones and Ghost for 2026

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
